Ya, I don't see Malibus selling that well (it's suppose to be such an amazing car according to many here).  And it's not anti-American propeganda, because I see many Fusions likewise many new Camrys on the road here in Toronto.

The way the Fusion outsells the Mazda 6 is a pretty strong testament to how much easier it is for the domestics to sell a car in the US.

The Fusion is a good looking car... there is just no getting around how ugly the Malibu is.

Ya it's all about product... it's something the execs at GM don't understand... instead, they're giving us watered down cars which do not attract customers as much as Ford's Fusion.

i think the Aura is nicer than the Fusion. To me, the Fusion is already bland and dated. The Aura is at least 'snazzy dull'.

The Fusion has a sense of engineering purity and organic wholesome goodness to it. It's almost enthusiast oriented in a light, agile, import sort-of-way. Plus it has double wishbones up front and an available manual transmission.

The Aura is more of a dull, solid, isolated car decked out with Opel refinement touches. It's more sophisticated than the Fusion, but it doesn't really float my boat.

Lemme put it this way... the Fusion is more like an Audi, while the Aura is more like a Mercedes.

It's just good to see GM and Ford with a couple of offerings that the critics almost seem to like. For a change.

I like both.

If AURA just had a better interior, I'd like it a whole bunch more. Right now, Fusion/Milan wins the interior battle by a mile.

Other than that, a tough choice would be AURA XR 3.6L versus Fusion 3.5L SEL (3.5L in '07?)

In base models, I'd take a Fusion I4/manual anyday over an AURA 3.5L/4speed auto.
