Prototype Imperial Hardtop two door wagon. Almost like a high end Nomad.

And last but not least:

I've heard of rebates but this is just riciculous. :P

Frontenac? Is it a Canadian Ford Falcon (that's what it reminds me of) or something?

As for the Mercury rebate ad, I think they may have to top that soon. :P

That Imperial look like ass. It has Elantra Wagon Syndrome.

i like the wagon.

Yes... the Imperial is awsome IMHO. The rear does look just

a tiny bit "tacked on" but please don't compare it to a stupid

Hyundai Elantra. That's just not right.

That's actually exactly what I mean. Elantra Wagon Syndrome strikes when designers poorly integrate the roofline after of the sedan's C-pillar making everything from there back to the D-pillar look awful and tacked on. The affliction is named for the most pronounced case, that of the Hyundai Elantra where even the body-colored portion of the sedan's door is kept exactly the same...

Anyway, with the chrome band and off-colored C-pillar wrap that typically adorns Imperials, I think it would've looked awful. On a normal Imperial, that 'headwrap' really classes up the design and recalls the traditonal landau, much like the '53 Pontiac Parisienne concept did. With a wagon roofline, the effect would've been lost and IMO looked misplaced.

Fly:

Agreed, I know what you were refering to but still.

1. The Elantra wagon is actually not that BAD for a So. Korean car. (stylistically)

2. A 1950s car, esp. Cadillacs & Imperials should never be compared to Hyundai.

3. By doing No.2 :P you are bringing legitimacy to S.K. cars.

I've seen an awful lot, but

I've never seen a tundra towing snot.

I see Fly's point on the Impy wagon, but all that glorious 20-gauge sheetmetal surrounding that single stylistic detail completely obliterates the question in my eye. Gimmee.

The snot on a Tundra is located inside the motor ...with the sludge.
