What is it that makes this forum go down so much?

Recommended Posts

What happened today? Several times I tried to get in here and there were database errors and then just "page not found" errors. This seems to happen every so often (I've seen it a few times over the past few weeks). I'm guessing the first issue had to do with MYSQL going down. The next was probably Apache.. While there's no reason this place needs to be on a dedicated server at this point in time - I think the server it's on has too many problems. One site or another is draining all the resources..

I believe they do offer this. They do pretty much everything. Let me just make sure and I'll get back to you. If they do, would you like me to send them your contact information? Or vise versa?

I saw the "pittsburgh-city.com" issue earlier as well. This made for like three separate times the site was down today - at least when I was looking... Something has to be done... Though the error message gave me the impression the hosting bill hadn't been paid or there was an overage.. :o

if they use virtual private hosting, I'm all ears.

Hey there, we noticed you're using an ad-blocker. We're a small site that is supported by ads or subscriptions. We rely on these to pay for server costs and vehicle reviews.  Please consider whitelisting us in your ad-blocker, or if you really like what you see, you can pick up one of our subscriptions for just $1.75 a month or $15 a year. It may not seem like a lot, but it goes a long way to help support real, honest content, that isn't generated by an AI bot.

See you out there.
