Remember Marc ?

Recommended Posts

I've been on here for 13 months and have no recollection of him. I miss Camino and LordStafford though.

Marc lives in New York and has an '01 Aurora. I saw him on an Oldsmobile forum a few months ago, but I haven't noticed him around lately. LordStafford was on this board just yesterday, and Camino is still around.

LordStafford has been around? Kewl. I know Camio is around... visited him in Penn on my famous roadtrip.... as a matter of fact he was nice enough to let me crash on his comfy couch.... at 3am after hours of car talk. He's a real GM guy & true automotive/truck enthusiast. Hope he returns soon. B)

I dont remember those first three, who was the other Oldsmobile guy ? Used the Intrigue 442 in his sig. ? I think he was fading out when I first came around. I miss Regency for his activity in the Olds forum and a steady dayly supply of industry news. I miss Plums concepts I really really miss positive General Motors outlook I....I......I....think Im gonna start cryin. .. .. .. .. OK, got that over with.

Ya know Harley, I had a really bad experience with him about the state of the American forests topic we unfortuanantly got involved in. I dont want to rehash it again ever but its widely known throughout the industry on all sides of the fence what I was talking about. He did a few quick internet searches, hardly a place to see the status of the timber supply or industry or land developement, sub division, suburban sprawl, park aqusitions, ect. ect. ect. and came back posted his Links and a few quotes and said litterly"case closed" as if I had no idea what I was talking about or worthy of expressing my point blank in my face view of the timber industry. I do not consider that a great debator, or clear thinker. It reminds of that little skit Monty Python did with the "no it isnt, yes it is, no it isnt , yes it is, no it isnt, yes it is, then combine that with a few episodes of the twlight zone. Its very easy to be oh so contrare. That was one of the worst situations I have ever been in in my life, its my business and I have watched it all going down for better than two decades in fact it had a devastating effect on my life and I get a "case closed" and a bunch of "oh hums" and "yawns" after I'd explain whats been really going on.....

Marc lives in Upstate New York in the Finger Lakes area (probably near Ithaca, I think)...a completely different world from THE CITY...or downstate New York. I have cousins who live in the Niagara Falls area, in addition to those living near the city, and you might as well be on two different planets.

Hey, razor, does he live around you? I can only think of you two in that immediate area. Did Marc ever come back after the big crash?

Lord Stafford...an interesting and unusual dude. I think he contemplated pursuing a PhD in something ethereal but not at all practical. But, hey, why be normal? And...what exactly is normal? Edited by trinacriabob

Im 20-30 miles outside of Albany, Schenectady in the "hill towns". Alot of that western part of the state is unexplored territory to me but I know the Adirondacs and Catskills very well. Yes indeed day and night between NYcity and NY State. The Finger Lake areas are on the map for future destinations of exploration
