My New Baby:

-- Precision Workstation T3500 Tower

-- Processor: Intel Xeon Processor W3565(8M Cache, 3.20 GHz, 4.80 GT/s)

-- 6 GB DDR3 ECC RDIMM 1333MHz (3 DIMMs)

-- 2GB NVIDIA Quadro 4000, Dual Monitor, 2DP & 1DVI

-- Genuine Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit

-- 300 GB SATA Hard Drive (10K RPM)

-- 16X DVD +/- RW Drive

-- Integrated Intel chipset SATA 3.0Gb/s controller

All for under $2K with Dell's 3 year Business Warranty.

You cannot beat that! And there is room to grow!! I wanted dual processors and another 6 GB Ram, but then I might have sat on the street begging.

Not bad!

Of course, building it yourself would've saved a couple hundred, and allowed you to run some dual socket goodness for a similar price. :P

Yeah right! :P

The CPU's speed is slower, but not by much. And then, if speed is a concern, you could always spring for an EVGA SR-2 which supports overclocking, albeit at a greater cost than the Asus board.
