Coming soon to an awards red carpet ceremony, a Nissan Leaf limo? Yes. Imperial Coach Builders, a subsidiary of Electric Car Company, inc., has announced they have received a order to build a Nissan Leaf limo.

The company plans to stretch the all-electric vehicle by about 48 inches, increasing the overall length by roughly 27 percent. Imperial says with the extra length, they will double the seating in the rear passenger compartment. They don't say how they'll do it, but most likely it will have the seats to face each other.

Imperial didn't say how much the added length would affect the Nissan Leaf's 3375-lb. curb weight, nor how it would effect the 100 mile range.

Interesting. I wonder what happens when they're stranded because their estimated range was off, and they miss their extremely important event?

Guess they better have a Volt follow them.
