Hyundai Motor America Reports January 2018 Sales

  • Retail sales up seven percent
  • All-time Tucson January with 7,638 Sold
  • Best Total SUV January; 12 Percent Increase Compared with January 2017 SUV Sales

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Feb. 1, 2018 – Despite another standout month for total SUV and Tucson sales, Hyundai Motor America reported January sales of Hyundai- and Genesis-branded vehicles of 41,242 units, an 11 percent decline in comparison with the company’s record setting January in 2017. Still, retail sales were up seven percent with all regions experiencing an uptick. Tucson continues to achieve substantial sales growth, up 33 percent on the month and setting its January record, while Elantra sales increased by 6 percent.

Genesis Brand Highlights

Genesis Motor America reported sales of 1,613 vehicles in January 2018.

“Our January sales of 1,613 G80 and G90 sedans demonstrate market share gains in two highly competitive luxury segments,” said Erwin Raphael, General Manager of Genesis Motor America. “We’re establishing a network of standalone retailers and intend to deliver a leading purchasing and ownership experience in addition to continued positive momentum.”

They don't actually still make the Azera do they?  

The Ionic should sell better than that, it is actually pretty nice and roomy inside for the price point.  I think the Kona could be a hit for them and be a good boost.  The Sonata seems to be falling apart even since the bland redesign they did on it a couple years ago.
