4 door convertible

Recommended Posts

Years ago, one of the most premium vehicles one could buy was a Lincoln Continental 4-door convertible.

Looks like Mercedes is going to have a go at it.

Cool. The '61-67 4dr conv. was the high point for Lincoln, IMHO...they haven't done anything as classy or unique since then.

Does this mean a 4dr hardtop is a possibility?

If a 4dr ragtop can pass side impact crash tests then

certainly it can be done wiht the same vehicle if the

roof structure is intact! XP thinks I'm dreaming when

I say the 4dr HT should be an option on some of the

more exotic sedans on the market today... The one

car that would ahve to be a HT if produced would be

the SIXTEEN, just as the concept!

It's about damn time!

I've always wondered why no one ever built a 4-door convertible.

All sorts of 4-door vehicles are driving around with aftermarket cloth and vinyl tops that don't do anything other than look bad. Now there's finally a 4-door cloth top that folds up!

If Mercedes were intent on doing a true hardtop sedan, they would've done it with the CLS, not this.

Yeah..the CLS is a beautiful car, but it would have made a great hardtop.

The reality, though, with pretty much 100% air conditioning in cars today, is that I think people rarely ever drive with the windows down, so a hardtop (2dr or 4dr) is not a big selling point...

CLS has a really ugly thick B-pillar that looks like a pyramid,

if it was a 4dr hardtop it would look tons better.
