  1. Retro posting Sighting in Sicily A trio of very different cars with the Mediterranean in the background while buying snacks at a roadside cafe:' a Smart car two-seater, an old and beat up Fiat Panda, and, what, a Ford Fusion?!? Turns out it's a Ford Mondeo. I do not know what powers it and I did not check to see whether it was a manual or automatic. That's probably about the biggest size car you'd want over there with the narrow and archaic roads.

  2. There is literally no 2 brands more close conceptually & execution-wise than Jeep & Hummer. They fought over their grille designs being too similar, FFS.

  3. I know I'm super-opinionated.. the Hummer just never remotely appealed to me, I'm a Jeep guy. (but I do like GM full size SUVs). It will be interesting to see how the EV revival goes..we live in interesting times...

  4. Yeah...I remember that. LOL I have since forgotten in what context that statement was made. But thanx for the memories.

  5. Yes. And, here in the U.S., the (many) crybabies get knotted up in overdrive when they perceive the slightest political incorrectness. It was in the late '90s, I think, that someone in a high level government position in Quebec City said, "We do not need to speak French. We need French in order to speak." I understand what he meant, but I can only laugh at such a pompous statement.

  6. Quebec hasnt changed their plate since they went to Je Me Souviens. Boring white backround with blue lettering. With that crappy inscription. I like love the Fleur de Lys though. I understand the reasoning for that inscription, I just think in 2019-2020, Quebec should move on from playing the victim. I think if they went back to La Belle Province, they, as a people, would have a stronger identity in Canada and in the world going forward. Playing the victim, you always have a chip on your shoulder and you could never overcome your "status" as a "victim".

  7. Windy, rainy and up to 68 degrees this afternoon...crazy for Cleveland in January. Went out for tacos this afternoon and spotted a clean dark gray mid 90s Buick Park Avenue that appeared rust free, also saw a clean silver blue '91-93 Caprice sedan.

  11. Yes. Mercedes owners have that. Camaro and Mustang owners have that. Cadillac owners had that image too once upon a time ago. And the mother of all douchey images belongs to?

  12. In all fairness, it was only tainted with a certain type of snowflake, tree huggin', pot smokin', hippie millennial crowd that started the pious (Prius) movement not realizing, because they were and still are brain dead, to see that Toyoter had MORE gas guzzling SUVs and CUVs in their stable than General Motors had...even with the Hummer brand... BMW, Mercedes, Porsche all whored themselves out with SUVs at this time too, but 'twas GM and Hummer that took the fall with these hypocritical, virtuous asshats... Hummer was actually loved by enthusiasts. Truck guys and gals along with sports car guys and gals. I think Hummer would do great today with gasoline engines!!! I do not know how marketing will solve the electric issue with Hummer... Marketing better be good...

  15. And while Quebec's former plate was just a regular rectangle...it was the slogan that was special before it became political. LA BELLE PROVINCE is sooooooo much better than Je Me Souviens. THE BEAUTIFUL PROVINCE as opposed to I Remember. I do not know if other Provinces and States changed colours ever two years or so, but this is how Quebec's plates looked like during the muscle car era.

  17. Don't see all that many of this generation Firebird anymore: The cover has been slipping off this rounded beauty for a few years, it's in tatters now. Curious how rotted it may be. '53 Special hardtop coupe :

  18. Hmmmmm ? Never considered myself Douchey! ? I loved the H2 and H3 Alpha they were great to own and handled off road really well. Yes interior left something to be considered and the 5 cylinder engine sucked, but the V8 versions were great. Did ya ever drive a H3 Alpha, that was the V8 powered version and it went, was great off road and I loved them. Very excited for the EV Hummers! They will suck up all the excuses EV Haters Blow with!

  19. Well, the H2 was hideous looking with a nasty $5 rubbermaid interior.... .so it's a brand known for garbage...the H3 was the same crap in a smaller form factor. Not some of GM's better efforts, best forgotten. Also the owners of them had kind of a douchey image.
