  1. @David That's why I like a reliable car and keeping it a long time. I don't like to deal with dealerships. As smoothly as my last purchase went, the wrinkle was that he was pushing an extended warranty program the house pushed. I wanted the extended GMPP or they wouldn't make the sale. He "found" the ring binder with the GMPP literature. How nice. I also don't want to hassle with dealerships or mechanics for too, too many repairs. It's stress I don't need. I've got my Excel maintenance spreadsheet - one that none of the regulars on this forum is likely to agree with (haha) - and I'm always poking around under the hood.

  2. Compare a Malibu to a Camry/Accord or an Equinox/Escape to a RAV4/CR-V. The Honda and Too are just better vehicles, you can make the Equinox electric, and RAV4 electric and consumers are still going to buy Toyota and GM is going to fleet sale the Equinox and still sell half as many. The wild card to the EV war will be if someone decides to lose money on them in an attempt to gain market share. Tesla basically did that for 10 years and became the most valuable car company.
