  1. -old Fox Box T-Bird -69 Caddy convetible -59 Ford -63 Ford convertible (reminded me of a GM the way the top was) -two ES250s parked one behind the other. -an old CLK followed by a new one
  2. This, from the man who didn't see the appeal in an early 70's Nissan Bluebird....
  3. The newbie needs more mileage on this site.....
  4. Baja Fresh and Rubio's are two of the most boring, disappointing tastes out there....ETA (means "Edited To Add" - got that from TWoP): I like Chipotle's decor. It's kinda cool to me. I don't think a place needs to be super festive looking, as long as it's clean, and more importantly, the food is good. Plus I see nothing wrong with doing the basics their way. As far as having to deal with high schoolers, I only know of two stores out here, neither of which are anywhere near one. Plus I don't see the prices as conducive to 15-year-olds frequenting the spot (though they love Subway, and the darndest kids sure own these expensive kicks and the latest gadgets, so I could be wrong)
  5. I don't see it as fake. They just do what they do. They're not Taco Bell with it, they just happen to be a chain. Now if they were trying to crank out chile rellenos and menudo or menudo, you might have a point from which to criticize them a little harder. But just to score a fajita burrito or a few tacos or something, one can't go wrong if the Chipotle taste is the one you're in the mood for (and you're ready to plunk down 5-something).
  6. the Today show: -A Fauxrarri (Fiero kit car) -Pantera with wing on top
  7. I'd like to see the Tigers become good again.
  8. Nice to know you guys don't like Black shows* (though I don't find those on UPN to be of very high quality either). I'm afraid the CW group will share this opinion. The ideal solution would be to go seven days with three hours of prime time programming (just like the pre-Fox 3) and 4 on Sunday (forcing the late local news down to 11pm/10 central). A CNN-sourced traditional evening news would be good, as well as trying something different in the form of an hour-long 7/6:00 news. Definitely keep the Saturday morning/weekday afternoon cartoons also. Nice way to stay different, I would think.... *What DO you guys watch anyway? This would be a good time to get into some TV dialogue among us.
  9. You're missing out. Season One DVD...BUY IT!!
  10. Apparently, you don't remember the old race series they used to be run in. BMW 2002s and Alfa coupes used to have real brawls with them on the track. Even then, what's not to like about a fun-to-drive rear-drive compact, no matter how it looks? The don't-like-anything crowd might not get it, but someone does. BTW, guys, that Bluebird is an actual coupe (note the rake of the roofline)....our 510s were two-door sedans.
  11. Sorry, Molts....I prefer Si's the stock way with a lowering and a few speed mods.
  12. On the Philly side of things.
  13. Nick and Croc must be rich to not like coins.
  14. Si hatches were always cool with me.
  15. Go there much, 68? Anyways, back on that game, how can one not say he took over the game, put the team on his back, and saved them from complete oblivion? As far as other teammates being a little peeved, Smush Parker kept trying to point out the "team defense" to one reporter after the game. Erase the hate, acknowledge the history, and keep it movin'. It's frustrating to see the others not assert themselves, but it is what it is until a trade of some sort can be worked out.
  16. LOL, that's between you and him....Nah, you're peace though. We're gonna have to run to one of these night functions with the rest of the crew. add-on for trinacriabob: California fought for the North in the Civil war.
  17. I'm sure he'll hear that kind of talk all week long, and something completely the opposite will happen with Friday's game. Not to mention, I don't think that's fair, as he had to put that team on his back, what with them being down 13 at the half. Folks wouldn't dare go there about Jordan, because he was so liked.
  18. Really though, isn't that the same car he was singing great praises about scoring for a song?
  19. Good day in general in the NBA. Seattle and Phoenix combine for a 301-point day. Seattle won 152-149 in double OT. BTW, for the LA market, the Laker game is repeating Monday at noon on FSN West (set your DVRs)
  20. Who was watching that game? I figured I should have turned to FSN. What do you guys in the Toronto/Buffalo market think?
  21. Maybe he thought the stock wheel covers loooked chintzy. Not everyone can do decent-looking wheel covers. Even Honda's lost their touch. Chevy seems to have picked it up the past few years though....Was it lowered also?
  22. Fine by me, the '69 was ugly anyway. I see more of the '68 in this concept.
  23. Haven't been seeing or remembering much this month. Saw a lime green A2 Jetta on the 101. Kinda reminded me how Volkswagens are among the only cars that can pull that color off.
  24. Well, for me: Laura Branigan - "Gloria"/Fleetwood Mac - "Don't Stop Thinkin' About Tomorrow": Takes me to a Sunday morning where I'm waiting in mom's 74 Camaro while she goes inside the Ralphs around the corner from the house. This was 1982, and I was six years old with a cold. That Olivia Newton John song from the movie Xanadu: I'm about 4, probably being picked up from preschool, going home with my dad driving the Camaro. If I were to her those songs, those immedite memories would come to mind. More later.
  25. Man, whatever with what you guys think, the Japanese hardtops we couldn't get here are cool to me. Imagine hot rodding some of those with modern wheels. And that RX-4 is a huge deal to rotary fans....
