  1. This is some scary $h!. I'm having a hard time watching this one...
  2. My thoughts exactly. Not so much "Joe the Plumber" as "Joe the Wannabe Plumbing Business Owner with $250k a Year." Wonder what the actual plumbers make per year?
  3. Reminds me of a couple years back when Fly remarked that the lounge was turning into a gay dating site, and a lot of the guys were hitting on mute.
  4. Regular and Plus are still generally cheaper. Diesel should be brought over, though, as it is definitely a more efficient fuel. With CA, the main issue would be if the emissions are clean enough, and I know MB tried to make clean enough diesel systems and came up slightly short. VW may have done it, though...I'm not quite sure.
  5. No, the video clearly said that this guy (I assume the plumber?) is BUYING A COMPANY that makes $250, $275, $280,000 a year. Unless that new business owner is taking all of the business' profits for himself and not reinvesting any of it back into the company, he'd be under the $250,000 threshold for increased taxes. Also, the video is cut and spliced so that you don't even see Obama's response. Ridiculous.
  6. Proof? Sweet, looks like you didn't post any. BTW, for any part of that statement to be true, that plumber would hae to be making more than $250,000 per year...which is more than the average anesthesiologist makes. Try again. The Middle Class? You haven't read Obama's economic plan, and you still provided no proof in your statements. You also allude to thoroughly-debunked Laffer Curve theory, so I'm not even going to go there... Proof? Because anecdotally, when the vast majority of Americans have concluded they are worse off now than they were 8 years ago...I kinda doubt that many of the middle class were so upwardly mobile, especially to the tune of 11%. I know several families who would normally be considered upper-class who are now down to the middle class. So no, I don't buy it unless you provide any credible proof whatsoever.
  7. +1 There is no quality more disgusting and foul than that of applied bigotry.

This has to be one of the most ironic posts ever made on this site. And if that's really how you feel, you should have put me on the ignore list a looooooong time ago.
  9. Always get everything in writing?
  10. Doesn't matter, though. That base pricing starts so low concerns me for the profit margins of each bundled trim level. GM needs money more than car enthusiasts need a new Camaro. Variable costs are the only ones affected by volume...and let's be honest this will be low volume. It's the wrong car for the wrong time, overweight, under-fuel efficient, not practical. So we have low volume, which means higher variable costs since there aren't really huge economies of scale. Mostly, though, I'm concerned about the fixed costs in engineering the damn thing. GM better be making money on each one of these they sell, though I have a sinking feeling these are going to shade dealership lot pavement from the sun. ETA: All the "Oh, don't worry about it because most Camaros won't sell at base equipment levels" posts are actually making me more concerned than anything else...it seems like nobody disagrees with my instinct that base trims are being sold at a loss or damn close to it.
  11. Even those with the most well-developed gaydar misidentify occasionally. Either way, though, it isn't anywhere near as superficially obvious as something like skin color.
  12. And now this video.

No $h! it's been a rough year, which is why I have very little patience for certain individuals who persist in irritating me after I have already informed them that their behavior is annoying. That's just basic manners and decency.
  14. Isn't "Ozark Fitness" an oxymoron?
  15. I like Hillary, and would vote for her if she were the nominee, but I like Obama much better. I find it interesting you consider Hilary honest and sincere, because those are two qualities I find lacking in her that made me vote against her in the primary. She's a great policy wonk IMO, but her empathetic people skills leave a lot to be desired. I do think she has a shot in 4-8 years, though.
  16. You're right, not even close because you can't even tell how many gays are around you at any given time by giving the room a quick scan.
  17. What are you talking about? You've found out quite a bit about Obama--you know his father was Kenyan, his mother American. He was born in Hawaii, and grew up on the south side of Chicago with his single mother after his father abandoned him. You know he was into drugs and turned his life around by becoming a community organizer. Obama went to Occidental College in Los Angeles for 2 years before transferring to Columbia and getting his BA. Then he went to Harvard Law. You know his father went back to Africa and started another family there. You know that Obama is a Christian, and used to attend the Trinity United Church of Christ. He has a beautiful wife, and two wonderful daughters. This information isn't really all that hard to find. There's this one website that's almost a clearinghouse for information--it's called "Wikipedia," and it has even more information if you feel you need to know even more details about Barack Obama. And the response from ACORN on the recent raid in Nevada: And while I know full well you won't believe a word of it, all of those seeming "contradictions" you bolded regarding Obama and ACORN are not really contradictions. His history of joining them in a lawsuit and working toward similar goals without actually being affiliated. ACORN doesn't have a monopoly on community organizing. Again, ACORN isn't the only community organizing group in the United States. Often =/= Always. Obama did Project Vote in 1992, yet your "evidence" citing a contradiction is for a 1993 partnership. Did you misread, or are you trying to obfuscate the facts? For the record, it seems Project Vote and ACORN often work together on many things, but they are separate organizations, and it appears were more separate back in the 1980s and early 1990s than they are now.
  18. This is exactly why I'm fretting over the profit margins. Kappa is/was NOT a moneymaker.
  19. Well, my biggest question/concern is the profit margin on the base. Sure, it's really affordable, but it won't do GM any favors to sell these at a loss. Anyone know the profit margin on these?

Threat? WHAT. THE. f@#k. All this drama because I didn't find your attempt at humor to be funny in the least? And no...it's mainly not funny anymore because you've only been making variations of the same joke for years now. How many times do you expect to get a laugh out of telling the SAME joke to the same people? f@#k it, I'm done with this $h!.

You're seriously threatening me? Over the internet? No, sir, YOU need to "get over it."
  24. Without seeing the dressing, I can't really say...but if it isn't a soy-ginger dressing, than it's probably a miso dressing. There could very well be orange or carrot in there, but I've never really seen that...and I'd be shocked if there weren't ginger in that dressing somewhere.
