  1. Compared to any other comparable city. Compared to any smaller city...hell compared to any massively larger cities. Indianapolis is the biggest city with nothing to do.
  2. no, i won't...because i really don't care. just like i don't care who was voted "Most Likely to Succeed" in their yearbook. mtv is about as relevant as a yearbook.
  3. Five Minutes to Freedom, Cartel, Senses Fail, RHCP, Oasis, Goo Goo Dolls, 3EB, etc...too many really...
  4. with deftones on this one. i didnt even know mtv had movie awards

You've never been to one of those concerts, have you? You can't help but notice it, especially when you're this close to the stage and all the singers are in girl pants. What else did I see? Lotta fat ugly both chicks with BO problems. Warped Tour is NOT an acceptable venue for scoping...unless you go to the Hawthorn Heights stage since they sold out to the MTV crowd forever ago.
  8. I just stick to BBC...they're pretty unbiased.

I don't like most rap. Tupac was a lyrical genius, however.
  10. Quality over quantity.
  11. I hope it doesn't happen. Mitsubishi makes some good cars, and the Outlander is hot. But I love the Eclipse.
  12. ohhhhh that's interesting.....but why the hell attack Canada? What has Canada ever done to anybody? They're like the Switzerland of NA.
  13. everything should have a turbodiesel option...
  14. they were prolly in canada after taking advantage of lax canadian immigration laws so as to cross the fluid US-Canada border later on

you've never noticed the tube going down one leg? sorry to be so blunt, but that's what i saw @ warped tour last summer.

Depressed over not getting a MCR CD? ummmmmm yea haven't heard of that happening. See, the thing is that a lot of people have problems hidden beneath the surface. I just don't get how you can say definitively that they don't have problems...it seems pretty obvious to me that if someone is depressed they have some kind of problem. Just because it isn't obvious or apparent doesn't mean it isn't there... ETA: don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of scene kids either but I won't dismiss them beyond being melodramatic and possibly immature.

How can you say they have no real problems just because their parents are rich? Money doesn't buy happiness, and everyone feels hurt or pain regardless of parental wealth. One of my close HS friends has been incredibly depressed for some time now despite being very attractive, very smart, athletic and having a very wealthy upbringing. Why is he depressed? Because no matter what he does, he can never live up to his older brother who is even smarter, more attractive, athletic, etc. etc. No one actually tells him or treats him like that, but the subtext is there and has been for him since he hasn't found his place yet. He isn't an emo kid, but he definitely is wealthy with problems. People deal with things differently, and what might be a big deal for one person is trivial and insignificant to another. Everyone has different values/goals/aspirations. Not to preach, but it just rubbed me wrong to equate wealth with "doesn't have any real problems."
  18. basically we would be in some evolution of motown.

ever think that maybe green day just doesn't like where this country is going? they certainly aren't alone in that view.
  20. I disagree on a couple. They seem to want to call platform mates rebadges, though the Tribute and escape are most definitely not rebadges, and I really don't consider the Fusion/Milan/Zephyr to be rebadges (plenty of styling differences), though the 500/Montego most certainly are.
  21. *sigh* maybe you should read the article. This was a survey on best albums, not cultural impact. Elvis still wins that one, anyway.
  22. SHA is just the most-played one around here...and the one I know the lyrics to.

Nah, just the ones they are responsible for.
  24. Southern rock is good. Every time the radio plays Lynard Skynard I blast it and do a terrible job singing along to "Sweet Home Alabama." What can I say...you can take the dude out of Indiana but you can't take the Indiana out of the dude.
  25. I saw it in the paper and thought it was amusing given the previous thread. This shows that ocnblu likes to continue finding things to complain about regarding Croc, just for old times' sake, I guess.
