  1. I find the front to be very blocky and awkward-looking. Every other angle is fine, but that face is just...incongruent with the other Saturns. Honestly, the grille is the only similarity to the rest of the Saturn lineup...The Euro Saturns are much more graceful looking.
  2. I am so jealous of you for having the first hand experience of sitting in its production interior. Tell me, are the 2nd row seats too low? The interior doesn't break any new ground whatsoever, except that it is a GM interior that matches or exceeds the competition. It also uses colors other than various shades of beige and gray (teal? who'd have thought!)
  3. But if someone is already that mentally ill and unstable it does not even matter. I remember reading about someone who became extremely depressed and thought his dog hated him because the dog walked past him one morning without being affectionate. Those kinds of thoughts are just mental illness. They are not rational, and therefore cannot be dealt with rationally.I'm with ocnblu...suicide is cowardly and selfish...it is running away and giving up instead of being a fighter. That said...because of the mental illness aspect, one cannot always hold someone responsible for his/her actions.
  4. I'm definitely gonna roadtrip to Maryland/DC sometime this summer...just gotta pick a good weeekend.

    Hit a dog.

I've never hit an animal, knock on wood, but I can't stand driving over a roadkill carcass.
  6. I'd do it, yea...I'll try just about anything once...which is why my dim sum bill came to $65 last weekend
  7. I think this interior is fine for a base 9-3. It looks good, and it still looks like a "techy" interior. The radio is very well integrated and doesn't look shoved in. The climate controls and it go together nicely that it doesn't look like they were 'retrofitted." Honestly? Even the non-NAV center stack is interesting to look at and doesn't have acres of gray plastic. It doesn't look sparse, yet doesn't look cluttered...a flaw of the last one. This is a very user-friendly interior. No crazy sea of buttons. The wood trim is very nice and the entire thing just looks Scandinavean. It works. Frankly, the last version of the interior looks stuck in a time warp. This is an interior done right: visually appealing, functional, and stylish. Let's just keep our fingers crossed that the materials quality is up to snuff...
  8. Who said anything about 60? The tank is in the crush zone 11" from the rear. It is not protected by the rear axel. It's no Pinto, but it is something to be aware of.
  9. you're too young. gotta be 18 for insurance/liability issues
  10. Nice! Good luck...just don't get rear ended!
  11. Thank goodness he beat you to it.
  12. Who knows if this is even the final placement of things...but that radio could be pretty ergonomic up there as far as not taking eyes off the road...
  13. Why, so we can have a field day with videos of "Satty's a Bad Parent" like the media has with Britney? Oy...
  14. No, the Outlook exterior is hideous...the interior is where it shines. Seriously, I'm gonna bet the farm that it will be painfully obvious which Saturns are homegrown and which ones are Opels...
  15. Well...where else will those people go for their quirky interiors? I mean it's easy to say SAAB loyalists will leave the brand...but for what? I think that as long as the SAABs drive well, look stylishly European and have elegant, upscale interiors that they will continue to be bought by the loyalists.
  16. yayer!!
  17. Show her the Milan...she'll like it too. Seriously, if it makes you happy, it's worth it...economic analyses always lack the emotional value of things.
  18. Was HUD on all 9-3 trims? That radio is the basic radio reserved for low trims...could it be HUD stays on upper trim levels equipped with navigation?
  19. ...and now the 9-3 gets Turn-By-Turn Navigation.
  20. Well you can just give me the $100 then, right?
  21. That's really sexy. Nice job!
  22. They really aren't...

    Thanks for the clarification.

    Pictures!

Figures that the cheesiest name I could come up with exists in a place like Pittsburg
  25. I dunno...Santa Monica is charing to me...the pier, the Promenade, the restaurants...it's just a place you HAVE to see. I find Hollywood to be the trashiest place I have ever been next to a Mexican border town. You're right about the subway though...Hollywood is pretty much the ONLY opportunity to take it...does it go anywhere else? I don't even think the BH homes are much to write home about...Pac Pal and OC have nicer ones with better architecture IMO, though I like that one off of either Camden or Rodeo with that funky roof that looks like something out of Alice In Wonderland. The thing I like about Huntington is that the beach is there and yet there is great access to the shops and restaurants just off PCH...very nice, clean, and most of all convenient.
