If the Detroit big 2 are allowed to go under, we will see a recession worse than the 1928 depression. It amazes me how many people out in the press and in the local area say who cares, let them go under. Yes I know the executives and UAW are totally to blame, but due to the millions of jobs that are at stake, this country cannot afford to let them go bankrupt. The Tax payers have already bailed out the airline industry and taken on their pentions for the unions, I can see this also happening with the auto industry. Going to be an interesting first year for Obama.

Best thing to do every morning is to do crunches and work out all the gas from over night then you are Gas-X free all day naturally.

Actually both Obama and McCain are in DC right now working on this issue as they sit down with the lame duck President W and the leaders of the House and Senate to finsh the details. I respect both for going back to help get this done, but Obama is the one showing he can handle multiple things like a good president should be able to do. He has clearly stated in the press that if McCain does not show up on Friday he will hold the time on National TV as a town hall meeting and answer anything and everything. He is being very open and approachable to the press and people unlike McCain and his hidden VP Choice who is only let out for Photo Ops.

Either one I think would be better than a religous nut as president or one that believes for the sake of manipulating people to give them power.

True the Democrats have their own double standards, that is why I consider myself an Independant. Personally, the VP should be voted on their own merit as well as the P. This would mean you could vote for the best person possible for the white house. McCain / Biden would do well, at least better than Obama / Palin could. Who knows if this really was a free country we could end up with an Athiest Independant President and a Democratic or Republican VP. Course this would also mean getting rid of the Joke of a system call the college and allowing the true popular vote to decide the election rather than an elite group of people.

Boils Down to Political pigs will still screw over the comman tax payer for power and money. McCain did it 90% of the time with W and Dicky Boy so people should be used to his screwing. Most people also seem to forget or not realize that the hummer had differentials that gave it off road capabilities greater than Jeep, Land rover or any other 4x4. I also agree with PurdueGuy as Hummer should be a name which is part of the Cadillac Division. Chevy and Saturn would be standalone divisions and Pontiac, Buick and GMC end as seperate divisions and become just one with name plates for customer marketing / sales appeal. Stream lining would save a ton of money I believe for GM.

I truly hope this is wrong, As an Owner of a 2006 Escalade ESV Platinum edition and a 2008 Escalade which the wife drives, I have already run into one major problem as to why the wife never has to worry about me driving her ride. THere is not enough Head room. The Dealership was shocked to see that with the seat all the way down, I can not sit up straight like I do in my 2006 ESV. If they truly move to the CUV platform and go from full size to mid size, they will loose all the large people who have come to pay extra and love the Escalade due to the room. At 280LB, 6'6" tall I am not a fat or small man, Nor will the NFL players who are large men or the tall NBA players continue to go with this vehicle. GM YOU ARE MAKING A BIG BIG BIG MISTAKE HERE! Worry about CAFE and get it covered with Chevy, Pontiac, Saturn, Buick and GMC. Remember Cadillac is Luxury and should stand above and apart from these others. A very bad Idea!!!

So it would seem that we have a believer that feels currently the GOP is going more conservative and yet with the Young Moderate GOPS, in 20-30 years they will finally bring balance to the GOP Force. Hate to break your dream but 20 to 30 years of more of the same BS from the GOP will trully destroy this country. That we can not afford while waiting for the young moderates to learn how to manipulate the GOP Party and gain the power to make changes. GOP is lost in an ultra conservative religous do what we say, not what we do propaganda drive. Sadly, the Democrates seem to have gone down a Socialist agenda that could possibly destroy that party as well. At least Biden believes in a constant balanced budget. This would help balance out Obama's Socialist Agenda. Better then the current McCain agenda.

RP would make an interesting President that is for sure. Not sure if he would really be any better than McCain or Obama except where the economy is concerned.
