  1. Stupid Death
  2. Daimler has entered Phase two of expanded Heavy Duty EV semi truck testing in Germany. https://www.just-auto.com/news/daimler-starts-second-phase-of-ev-heavy-truck-tests_id197096.aspx
  3. Yet I doubt the majority here myself included could tell these were E class and not S or C class. Having Family DNA is one thing, having all levels of a product line blur into each other is another. MB has blurred all levels badly.
  4. What depressing auto news happened today Balthazar? Sorry Drew to hijack the thread, just wanting to hear what happened.
  5. OK, trying to NOT overthink this, Jeep Grand Cherokee which model year has the 3G Uconnect system.
  6. ? So just found a writeup on how to identify your Ford 3G, 4G and 6G alternators. https://alternatorparts.com/ford-type-3g-4g-6g-series-high-output-alternators.html That makes me think an F-150 Crew cab pickup with a trailer hitch for his rack to hold his bike.
  7. The 3G makes me think Escalade EXT which had 3G cell connectivity. ? Wonder what other auto's in that list had 3G........
  8. So the MB GLS?
  9. So what is your guess???????????????? ?
  10. While they are blah you can at least truly tell them apart unlike the MB stable. Perfect case in point, one cannot tell which model is which here. This is just terrible, worse styling differentiation ever!
  11. Durango, GC, F-150 or EXT all have 8 with no turbo. I am guessing F-150 with my Backup being Durango.
  12. ? Cadillac XT6 Cadillac Escalade EXT Chevrolet Avalanche Ford F-150 Crew Cab Mercedes-Benz GLS/GLE Jeep Grand Cherokee Dodge Durango OK, we got our list for people to vote on since Drew has confirmed it is one of these. ????
  13. So true, I had forgotten about that. H'mmmmmmmmmmmmmm I wonder!!!
  14. That is the weirdest configuration for a FOREST SERVICE TRUCK.
  15. Yup, They should then call it a concept for consumer feedback on the styling rather than a show car for production. GM is not the only one here that shows stuff off IMHO way too early from Production. I wish everyone would show concepts for getting feedback from the Public, but keep actual production auto's to no more than 12 months out from release. I think this would be better public perception.
  16. Totally agree with this, if this LYRIQ is on a ride height as the CT series, it is a station wagon to me, if it is that much taller, then at least a CUV. I also agree the V90 is a station wagon where the XC90 is a CUV.
  17. Family with room auto, Facebook has images not available or shared to limited set of people. ? He did talk about a Crewcab truck at one time and like the avalanche. So if not a Demo'd discounted XT6, could it be an Escalade EXT or F-150 crew cab? Or did I go cold? Guess the logical next question is did you go car, CUV/SUV or Truck?
  18. Drew talked about having more room for family, so that is why I went with the XT5, but I totally get the XT4 thinking. Agree totally , Drew has been MISSED Big Time!!! Welcome back Drew, so glad to have you posting again.

  20. Same here, hard to post any monthly auto finds when you go out once a week for essential shopping and once a week to my son's house for a family dinner. Otherwise my out and about is taking care of my large growing garden.
  21. A Cadillac to go with the Cadillac face mask? XT5 or CT5
  22. Yes, while not a huge window, at least there is one before the big blind spot. I can understand the thick pillar with Roll over requirements now for not allowing it to crush down. I too also wonder how it will be classified and referred to by the auto press.
  23. @Robert Hall @balthazar As per the comment from all things EV hater @ocnblu stated about this icing up and not able to open up in winter, I disagree. Clearly GM / Cadillac took the automation of this door opening up into account as you have plenty of space below the panel that is where the ice, mud, road debris will get on and I do not see this affecting the operation of opening up for charging.
  24. Agree with you that the stupid 2yr to get to market is just total mgmt. ignorance, would have been better to hold off on showing anything then till closer to the on sale date. Disagree with you on the ICE thing, that boat sailed and the companies who move to EV sooner will survive I believe. GM can survive on their current ICE line up to profit through the change over to an EV portfolio. Cool part is that I can see this as a Blackwing edition with the 3 motor 1,000 HP / 11,000 lb-ft of torque layout that they are planning for Hummer. Course, EV's are far more programmable than ICE and so they could have a potential 2,000 HP / 22,000 lb-ft of torque version to go into the ultimate Blackwing version all with Black chrome would be awesome. Rear is for sure very controversial and it does seem to generate a love or hate reaction on the web from people posting. For sure Cadillac has people talking about them.
  25. Seems to me that is Cargo Area inside and in regards to visually from the outside, granted Cadillac made the world biggest BLIND spot with the rear quarter panel area and that little tiny rear window on the cargo area. Still this side profile says to me Station Wagon, Not CUV or SUV.
