  1. So I guess your not a fan of modern AC/DC technology!
  2. If Poor Quality was the only reason, then why are the Germans having to change their plans for their EVs after reverse engineering the Tesla 3. https://insideevs.com/porsche-audi-tesla-model-3-teardown/ The story above is only one of a couple where all the German brands have bought a Tesla 3 and while the interiors and fit n finish leave something to be desired, their power train and tech surpasses what the Germans can do or have planned to do. More Great Reading as to why the Germans are scared. https://www.wiwo.de/technologie/mobilitaet/elektroauto-zerlegt-tesla-model-3-kann-gewinn-abwerfen/22625806.html https://www.quattrodaily.com/audi-and-porsche-worried-for-ppe-platform-after-tear-down-of-tesla-model-3/ https://cleantechnica.com/2018/09/25/tesla-an-uncomfortable-wake-up-call-for-germany-all-hands-on-deck/
  3. All in one shopping for the farmer, gotta love that.
  4. I agree with you, yet the point I am making is a die hard diesel fan can see the value of of a truck that meets his needs in switching to an EV. Considering he just replaced his 10yr old 1ton Ram pickup with the CPO Ford F350. I do not expect him to change until 10 years from now and who knows where we will be now that Ford and GM have committed to having a 1/2 ton EV pickup. In 10 years we could also have 3/4 and 1 ton EV pickups. The thing is that the future has allot of exciting change so as we all enjoy our ICE auto's now, there will be alternative considerations down the road that just might entice you to change power train types.
  5. Took my Family out for lunch and our daughters best friend and her husband who is a police officer and drives a 4x4 F350 Dually came to lunch. He is a hard core Diesel driver, but has had the options of being able to drive their single Tesla X police CUV around the rich city he works for and has come to the decision that for most people EVs make sense especially with a full tank every day at the start and so little maintenance compared to ICE auto's. He then said for himself, until they have a decent 4x4 as he lives out in the woods and drives 50 miles every day, 100 round trip he would not give up his truck. I then showed him the Atlis Pickup with 5.5, 6.5 or 8 foot bed option. He read the web page from the company and said when it gets into production, he would consider it as the 400 mile battery pack even with reduced range in the cold would work for him. This was a die hard Diesel fan who would be willing to consider it. He has to drive 18 miles to get to the closest gas station, so being able to plug in at his house every night would be no big deal to have a full tank of go juice in the morning.
  6. Reminds me of a Rapper with a Grill!
  7. LOL, I know full size cars, grew up with my parents having Delta 98's. That is a full size car, same with your 70's Lincolns and Cadillac's. Those were full size cars. Today's full size cars are the 70's and 80's mid size lets be honest here, for young pups like you, they are full size.
  8. Yes, it slopes down, before I had the new cement drive way installed, I put in a massive drain in front of the garage to keep it from flooding. Drive way is 36 feet wide and 65 feet long. 9 suburbans can fit on it just fine. Just allot of shoveling. Took me 6hrs to do it all and then I went to my parents and did theirs which was another 3hrs. So 9hrs of shoveling. Got my workout in today. Calling for 3 more inches tomorrow, 3 to 5 inches on monday with a break on tuesday into wednesday and then next front moves in and they say it could dump 5 to 10 inches more. Been a long time since the seattle area got this kind of snow. Loving it, home now and gonna shower, go to bed and get up and go skiing tomorrow with my son. Rock on all, stay safe and warm this winter.
  9. 20190209_071411.mp4 6 inches over night, now a foot on tje ground and people.are freakin out. Crazy for seattle. Well off to go shovel again.
  10. In someones dream it is, but not mine, that is a mid size car if I ever saw one. Not full size.
  11. Very cool, I know some would like to have the plug-in hybrids but honestly with battery tech moving forward so fast, might as well just go full EV for future product lines.
  12. Thanks for the info, for some reason I thought that most posi lock diffs out there were a manual centrifugal force kind, not the electric switch where you can lock up the diff any time you wanted.
  13. Is it a retreat or a focus on profit markets with a potential relaunch under specific names only in the future with a focused ICE / EV product line. I have been thinking about some of the things Mary has stated and I wonder if she is not long term looking at a global launch of either Buick or Chevrolet with that focused ICE / EV portfolio.
  14. I was thinking both, Electric locking Diff on trucks as well as AWD CUV / SUVs. It would be really nice and beneficial to folks that due use it allot especially in snow states or off road to have them as part of an off-road package.
  15. I wonder if any OEM will ever install electric lockers by default. I know electric hubs have become standard, but it seems having a beefy electric locker which has proven itself by the masses would be awesome so you can just flick a switch and lock up. I would love that.
  16. Wish them the best, I am sure many hardcore Holden fans want them to return to the history of years past with big V8 powered RWD auto's, sadly the market for that is going away. Future desires by the public change everything.
  17. Had no Idea that these were fully loaded $52K Canadian dollars and they used to have a $14K rebate but that is over now to the North. WOW. Price is a big issue for the car in 2019 to this reviewer and due to the Polar Vortex, it took longer to charge, but over all not a bad auto to the guy.
  18. Saw this Chevy sonic LT in Green and it had a Bolt nose on it, but was sharp looking for a subcompact. Also at the gym was the last generation Buick station wagon in white, very clean and sharp.
  19. Yes I know I DO NOT fit in them, yet as part of the auto industry I really want to like this car but I just do not. The look etc. is just ugly to me. I would rather have a Honda S2000 over this. The Honda had better over all lines.
  20. Traitor, I thought I had a friend in Hate of Ford! Yea, Ford EV F150 is gonna be da bomb! I can try to love that too!
  21. Agreed, this one is actually nice looking which is rare for Toyota and me. I wish GM would plan stuff like this where they bring out a Z71 or SS set of all models at a show. GM needs to get their planning together to better maximize long term loyalty and sales by offering speed across the whole product line and then offer off road performance across their whole product line. The one here, one there is just so tiring and not well planned. What ever happened to GM Performance? ? Toyota TRD is Killing them!
  22. +1 for me as I value it even when we Bitch like Highschool Girls over certain topics! ?
  23. Saw a New Sienna Mini Van not even with plates on yet that clearly was T-Boned in our current Frozen Snow mess we have here. Totally sucks.
  24. WOW, looks very functional in a minimalist German way.
