Was a fun movie to watch, if you can find it, watch it as it does hit on the culture of the auto world in California. Cheesy like all old movies of the time, but was very cool still.

I see he put out an updated video July 9th 2017. First show he took his Prius powered 46 pickup too. Interesting, Different strokes for different folks, those that tore up their copy and mailed it back are narrow thinking as the idea of custom rodder covers everything. Asian, European and American, this includes any small auto companies in Africa or South America for that matter. Custom is custom and all ideas should be welcomed and cool!

Just got the latest Chevy Performance email. Talk about crazy price drops on their crate motors. One has to wonder just how long crate motors as a business will continue. 5, 10 more years? I wonder once EVs start to take hold if we will see OEM EV powertrains that can be used for old auto restoration?

Local home race project inspired by the 1981 movie "The Last Chase" staring Lee Majors http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082642/ LOL amazing what people try to replicate from a movie. I did see a brand new Tesla X at the pass today they had the trailer hitch and had one of those multi ski/snowboard racks attached. Father with a family up for the day. Did pretty well in the snow. Should have snapped a pic, but was getting dressed for the day myself.

Looks like a Death Race Vehicle or maybe something for Mad Max!

Makes sense especially if you have BioDiesel to burn in them. But the days of Diesel in auto's is coming to a close.

Infiniti News: Infiniti To Become Electrified Brand for Nissan
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Infiniti
Makes sense to take the Infiniti brand and go hybrid / ev only for it and as R&D gets paid for by higher priced product line, then push it down into lower priced autos.- 3 replies

Those are so freaking ugly, remind me of the Fiat crap machines. Nothing desirable about those two machines IMHO.

Got it, yea that shot going into a 3/4 angle shot does make the nose look more FWD biased. MB says this is an AWD with two rear motors and 1 front motor last I read. Be interesting to see what it ends up with as a Powertrain. No mater what, it should have far superior inside space compard to the rest of their ICE SUV/CUV lineup.

LOL, Except for Potus45 which I see more of a bully harassment of our great country, I do not see those working as being part of the baby boomers even if they are of the retirement age. Too me boomers are retired peeps, those that choose to work or have to work are the Gen X Awesome Crowd!

Pretty close when you look at the side profile. They do seem to have nailed it. I do see where the front overhang is noticeably longer.

Nice reliable correction. Yea, I know there are still plenty of 50+ year olds buying those reliable appliances. Just do not get the desire to buy a lemming mobile. I know I am the start of the Gen X crowd being born in 1967. But to me boomers are those in their retirement years now. Must be a mid west and east coast thing JK Yea plenty of Camry, Impalas, etc. being sold based on numbers. Lucky it is not as bad as those later years I mentioned.

Seems the test mules are finally out and while heavily camo'd, you can see they do follow the concept EQ C that MB showed off. Autoblog has numerous pics of the beast doing cold weather testing. https://www.autoblog.com/2018/01/18/mercedes-benz-eq-c-electric-suv-spy-photos/#slide-7217532 Not Bad Looking, excited to see this hit the market.

OK, guess I am off a bit as to me baby boomers are those in their mid to late 60's and older and they are not seeming to buy big ticket items like they did 10 years ago. With the fall out from our great depression of 2007 to 2012, I wonder just how many baby boomers can now really afford expensive new auto's, those being 62 or older in retirement. I get 53 years old might be the average age of auto buyers but the market has shifted considerably from the buyer days of float mobiles. Some one wanting an auto that floats like the 70's, 80's and early 90's I think is much rarer than those wanting an auto that is more of a driving machine!

I like the idea of the mini promaster being used as a FWD mini pickup like they have in Europe. Inner city folks I think would buy it.

I get what you are saying SMK, My only thought is the Baby boomers are NOT buying auto's as they wind down into the grave and Millennials are not too interested in auto's maybe due to debt load. Seems the current buyers are into driving machines, not ride quality like a lazy boy recliner.

But if he is buying them online, then that means ultra Cheap, so probably China if not Malaysia made! Cheap shit, not Italian Shit. In regards to the Story, Midsize Pickup they cannot find an economical way? BS, they are building a Jeep version, they sure as hell could rebadge it for RAM. Another Idiotic Sergio mismanagement. Ferrari has already lost the supercar race, Tesla beat ya too it with Roadster 2.0 FCA - Lead by the Ultimate Lemming Moron around! Sad, too bad, next year cannot come soon enough for his retirement!

That is what I thought they were going to be used for also but no, they still use petro powered 3 wheelers to do parking enforcement. Weird. Like the Story says, I think they truly played to the Green Crowd but with ZERO plan on how to really use them efficiently.

WOW, talk about an abuse of tax payer dollars. Crazy. I agree with you that the BMW lease program is a joke for the police. They should have gone Tesla or waited and then leased BOLTs so they could actually have real auto's with real use for miles.

Heck we renamed French Fries to American Fries. PSA is Dead man walking, Opel or nothing at this point with DS as a store within a store at a higher level.

Your welcome, I agree as an Engineer, it is a bit sad that reviews of EV auto's are missing out on the wonders of the EV powertrain as we want to know about them just as we like to know about ICE. You have your magnet versus induction and AC versus DC motors. There is much to learn about the powertrain and I think sites and especially reviews need to dive into this to help people better understand why you pay more for one over another. Power train tech in EV auto's does make s difference.

Opel folks is what will give them an insight into the US consumer as right now nothing PSA makes is of any interest I bet to the bulk of the US buyers. PSA is like Fiat and can be left on road dead. No one wants their crapo products IMHO.
