Dodge News: 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon Begins At $86,090
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Dodge
Yes Serg master plan of rap American brands of their profits and invest in propping up the terrible Fiat and thinking bringing back a Dead Dog down Alfa will reverse FCA fortunes and make him the darling of the auto industry. Sergio = Death of FCA, very slow at that but Death at the rate and business plan they are going.- 38 replies

Kia News: The Name's Stonic: Kia Previews Their Next Crossover
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Kia
True but Nissan still went forward and built the turd of a Juke! I hope my friend you are right, yet we still got the Juke from Nissan, if Kia feels they need to be a bit more daring, they could follow Juke's path and build the turd. -

How Much Vinyl DO You Need to Wrap A Whole Car?
G. David Felt replied to Rvinyl.com's topic in Product Questions and Reviews
Probably Cheaper to go to Business Costco and just buy the commercial box's of saran wrap and wrap her yourself! You can get it in many different colors! -

Right! Talk about cheap to insure and of course no auto payments. Crazy to always have an auto payment, but my brother in law only does 2yr leases. He sees nothing wrong with life long auto payments.- 21 replies

My Review of the 2017 Cadillac XT5 Luxury
G. David Felt replied to Cmicasa the Great's topic in Reviews
My Friend never be sorry, we are after all just human. I totally agree with @Cmicasa the Great has stated, but a real eye opener is my wife. Born and raised till age of 13 in Korea, then her whole family emigrated here. She is very big on proper recognition of terms of where you come from. Sidebar to our lovely XT5 discussion, my wife and I both agree, if you just got off the plan, boat, auto, etc. from another country and are staying here then you are African American, Korean America, etc. My son and Daughter are 100% Korean heritage due to my wife's first arranged marriage. Yet they were born here and as such Amy and Alex are just American. If color is needed to define a group then Black American, Brown American, White American. BACK ON TOPIC Over all I see allot of American Woman driving the XT5 but I am also seeing more men lately driving the XT5. So I just got corrected by a coworker who is gay and says he knows many men in the LGBTQ community that drive the XT5 and they all see more Hetero men driving the Escalade. Interesting that if Men would rather drive the Escalade and Woman the XT5. I think this has to do with Size. -
@A Horse With No Name Awesome, so cool to see your workshop and the wood work you do. Very cool!

Ugly, Failure and the lack of a greenhouse makes visibility terrible. I am sure it will sell to Fans of Kia, but from a practical sense, it is a failure to me. -
I am a total Luddite when it comes to anything to do with FacePlant. Will never have one of their accounts.

Tesla To Only Offer Two Configuration Options For Model 3 Launch
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
This is just way to freaking funny. I have coworkers who are all things Tesla and are excited for their AWD Long range battery Tesla 3 rather than buy an S model with those features. This is going to cost Tesla as I suspect those that were expecting to check the AWD and larger battery option will end up rethinking their options. Wonder how many will cancel their order?- 6 replies

Like anyone is going to believe that since the rest of the parent company has cheated, why not Porsche also. For sure this will hurt sales.- 16 replies

So with this update from Musk, the 373,000 reservations, the only true known figure that Tesla has released equates to only 124,333 Tesla 3 cars being delivered this year and in the first half of next year as well as the 2nd half of 2018. Since the story clearly states that any reservations placed now will be delivered at the end of 2018. https://www.fool.com/investing/2017/03/14/teslas-model-3-reservation-count-likely-hasnt-chan.aspx Now the big problem is as follows: Tesla delivered only 76,230 auto's in all of 2016. Tesla delivered 24,518 auto's for the first quarter of 2017. So in looking at this, at best we are seeing 50,000 auto's built and delivered for first half 2017, keeping that moving forward for the rest of the year, that would mean in the second half of 2017 Tesla is projecting to deliver 175,000 auto's. Tesla 3, S and X. I smell BS here as Musk has not proven they can deliver that many auto's with just the S & X alone. I am betting on 50,000 Tesla 3's at most for 2017 get delivered if they truly get into production.

Honda News: Honda Ponders Whether It Should Do A Odyssey Hybrid
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Honda
Big difference between a minivan and full size SUV is the comfort. Say what you will but no MiniVan has been able to match the comfort of my Escalade or room especially around the feet and pedals. This is true for me even in the latest MiniVans. They have a long way to go to have truly road trip worth seats and room for the driver. Yes they do excel at having cargo room.- 21 replies

Yes, I look at the gains we made in technology in the 70's and 80's and from that standpoint it looks more like a 5% by now due to the slow ramp. Only in the 21st century have we seen rapid growth and change in battery tech. A wide variety of this is due to the tech industry having computers strong enough to help assess and virtually test ideas with results much faster than actual build and test, throw away and start over again methodes. JMHO
-
Naw more like 5% due to the battery limits of the 70's, 80's and 90's. On after 2000 did we seem to make the breakthroughs that are getting us there. But who knows maybe some smart guys would have figured out the battery issues sooner.

Testing for personal safety is important and I question why the automakers are wanting to not have a standardized set of final testing. Without it, I can see law suits and big problems for companies. I really wonder just how much the current administration cares about humanity and the public in comparison to their own lining of their wallet and making a buck at all costs. Things are showing a war of the 1% against the world as I see a push for a global cast system. The future is going to be very interesting.
