  1. By the same token, I can't believe the Lincoln Navigator... aw, forget it. You know I'm a FoMoCo guy but that right there is funny! Hahahahaha OMG that's great! You want a great use for Urinal pucks? You can get them pressed with just about any emblem in them. At the Husky Football games, people will bring in urinal pucks with the Oregon Ducks or Beavers image pressed into them and put them in the bathrooms. So then you can pee on a Duck or Beaver. Yup, College Football rocks! Course I could see having them made with peoples images on them and people having them there to pee on. LOL
  2. I have to agree with what you have stated. In regards to TV / Movies, I like Home Theater, but I do not have TV, so no I do not watch TV shows or much of anything. Pretty much enjoy working out with the wife, doing activities with my 28 year old son or 32 year old daughter. Travel and of course work in the computer industry. In regards to the Politicians, I think ALL City, County, State and Fed workers should be rolled over into Social Security and Medicaid and be part of the same system that the working folks of this country are in. Term limits for all politicians like the president, Senate and house only get two 4 year terms and back to the private sector. In regards to what Balthazar has posted about lighted hood emblems, I think this is an outstanding idea especially with LEDs now being able to be well built and controlled on light output. I think auto companies could do some very cool things to promote their logo. I HATE auto dealers that have to put their own stickers on a car they just sold. That is a deal killer for me. They are not paying me to advertise their dealership.
  3. Looks like an Infinity with a Maserati Badge slapped on it. Can you say tiny tires with oversize sheet metal? Over priced, over rated garbage that will sell due to badge snobs.
  4. The start of a cleaning of the house, reduction in the number of highly paid executives, managers, etc. and a reorganization that will allow VW/Audi/Porsche to reduce cost even more is what I think will happen along with the single pane of glass visibility to wine over folks.
  5. And this is just the beginning of the Purge to dump high salary folks, restructure the company and purge excessive costs to get VW/Audi/Porsche even more profitable if done right.
  6. G-Wagon, one of the oldest Pieces of Sh$t MB still makes and barely sells. Must be the military contracts and the idiots that pay crazy amounts for them as a few hundred a month does not justify the support.
  7. I have to say I have mixed emotions about the new grill. Not really a fan of it. Still like the waterfall grill best.
  8. And then we have those that are trying to say this is no different than Ford with their MPG adjustments they had to make. WRONG, the cares did not make the MPG but the exhaust pollution was still the same. VW on the other hand purposely changed their computer to pollute more rather than actually build the proper engines to meet the spec. Some countries are saying they will investigate and consider fines plus required engine swaps. Can you imagine if VW has to replace 11 million engines or buy back the autos? This will be very hard on them. Good thing the fired CEO is 68 and able to retire, I doubt anyone would hire him.
  9. This was to good not to copy from the other discussion thread from jalopnik.
  10. Disagree with you on Unimog, they are capable offroads, but they do not make the Hummer weak. I will take a Hummer over a Unimog any day. Testing has proven that the Unimog higher center of gravity causes more issues than the Hummer and the Hummer can be IED proof, have not seen one single Unimog as a military IED proof ride.
  11. No matter what we all think, Bloomberg is now saying that VW is stating this actually affects 11 million auto's they made. Their stock has dropped 25% in the last 2 days so a Market loss of 25 Billion Euros in value. VW estimates 6.8 Billion Euros to fix. The following countries have now stated they will investigate and possibly fine VW. Germany, France, South Korea and Italy on top of the US and Canada. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-09-22/vw-to-set-aside-7-3-billion-as-diesel-emissions-scandal-widens Porsche is now saying that this VW mess will have a drastic affect on them as they own 51% of VW. So Sum this up on what VW has Lost and could cost: 25 Billion Euros Value lost in Stock price 6.5 Billion Euros cost to fix the issue US says possibly as much as 18 Billion fine. Germany, France, South Korea, Italy, and Canada Additional Fines of unknown value. End Result, VW will survive but be hurt bad by this mess financially Diesel will get a worse rap as the medical communities and govs will attack it even more. EV will probably get the biggest push ever. China will probably lead a revolution of moving to electric auto's.
  12. The same reason some manufacturers got busted for lying about FE-their marketing folks wrote checks the engineers couldn't cash. My truck uses urea. Still gets awesome FE. Urea usage is pretty modest too I don't think it was as much of a lie as it was their internal testing procedure was just wrong, for all of them that had to make adjustments. But that's just my opinion. No matter what we all think, Bloomberg is now saying that VW is stating this actually affects 11 million auto's they made. Their stock has dropped 25% in the last 2 days so a Market loss of 25 Billion Euros in value. VW estimates 6.8 Billion Euros to fix. 13. Another reason to hold onto your older cars to keep your freedom. No need for Big Brother monitoring your every move.
  14. Ugh can you imagine the overpriced G-Wagon crap they would build to compete? Guess lack of any sense or ability to build something that is actually sensible is missing from this company and the customers. More money than brains.
  15. This is DROP DEAD SEXY!!!
  16. FAILURE, We do not need Apple or Google building cars. Autonomous garbage. Leave them to their software. They lack passion for auto's and only see it as a tool to get from A to B.
  17. Uhhhhh... DOOOHHHHHH Talk about totally missing the word External. I could have sworn when I read it, it was an internal investigation. Glad to see external.

  19. Dear VW, You want to overcome your back room dealing Nazi past and lying to the public till now, then hire an INDEPENDENT 3rd party company to investigate and state what should be done. Then incorporate it and FIRE all involved in this play.
  20. Totally Agree, +1, I think the CR-V is very overrated and the Patriot got a bad rap due to them not paying Consumer reports to Spew their this is the best crap.
  21. +1 Totally agree! Media is Agenda driven regardless if conservative or liberal. The days of Integrity and honor in reporting the news to allow the public to know the facts are gone.
  22. Lets also not forget the history of BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. They have very dirty past.
  23. Outstanding assessment and I wish the news would cover these cases in this manner. The sensationalism to get ratings has made most reporters have no honor nor any integrity.
