  1. Going to get much worse before it gets better. Plan on VW, Audi and Porsche to have money loosing quarters ahead.
  2. So unlike Tesla, they plan to have an EV auto with a generator much like the Volt. To bad they did not reach out to GM in regards to their VOLT Powertrain to use.
  3. Wow, So Honda is so short on Inspiration that they have to copy the Butt Ugly air scopes from the Toyota Hydrogen car?
  4. Still early as the more they dig into this the more products will be halted till they are corrected. I expect this to end up costing the VW empire double the 6.7 billion they set aside and could go even higher by the time legal fines are done.
  5. So you move your goal posts again and use the V8 as a reason to say MB appliances are better yet in so many posts everyone including you have stated that many will not know or care what is under the hood. So if a Turbo 4 banger can give you everything the V8 has with better MPG and Emissions then why bother with V8? If you have been in a Tesla you know that electric can give you the same crazy feel and more than a V8 with better cleaner emissions so this complete V8 needs to be in everything is a false front and holds no water.
  6. So came across this since the thread on forgotten autos and I posted one site that covered top auto's. This one is about auto's that consumers avoid and it shows in their sales. Pretty interesting These top 9: http://www.cheatsheet.com/automobiles/9-automobiles-consumers-avoid-like-the-plague.html/ Acura ZDX Mitubishi i MiEV Volvo C30 Hyundia Veracruz Nissan Cube VW Eos Land Rover LR2 Lincoln MKT Subaru Tribeca
  7. wow, 480,000 + year to date. I bet Mazda and others had these numbers. Wonder if GM wish they still owned them? Surprised SMK has not trolled in about his MB being better than Subie!
  8. So is that a RAM Pornmaster?
  9. Welcome Buick, Acura, Lincoln, Lexus, Infinity competitor. I expect them to eat some of these brands lunch.
  10. So true and yet then you have the Wheel Scene web site has the 12 best classic cars and funny that one of the cars is on their list that showed up on this list as worst. http://wheelscene.com/12-best-classic-cars/?utm_source=taboola&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=WS-ClassicCars-Desk&utm_term=msn-msn They start their best list off with the Porsche 914 followed by the rest listed below: 12th place - 1975 Porsche 914 11th place - 1970 MG MGB 10th place - 1964 Ford Thunderbird 9th place - 1930 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan 8th place - 1966 Ford Country Squire 7th place - 1970 Ford Mustang Mach I 428 Cobra Jet 6th place - 1970 Datsun 240Z 5th place - 1963 Studebaker Avanti 4th place - 1955 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe 3rd place - 1970 Triumph TR6 2nd place - 1970 Pontiac GTO 1st place - 1958 Buick Limited Convertible The pictures are lovely of the various auto's, but considering how many worst and best car list are being done, I have to think this is a slow news week.
  11. So like always you move your field goal lines to meet your self adjusted vision of MB is perfect, they can do no wrong and never have compared to the rest of the world.
  12. So I found tonight this write up on what some writers think are embarrassing Black Sheep of Automotive Companies. http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/autos-midsize/black-sheep-embarrassing-offspring-from-otherwise-upstanding-automotive-families/ss-BBmgcb1?ocid=UP94DHP Check out the reasons these auto's are listed as black sheep and sound off on what you think about these choices? Short list of auto's is as follows: Jaguar X Type BMW 318TI Ford Mustang II 1990 Lotus Elan Ferrari 400I Cadillac Cimarron Porsche 914 Triumph Stag Subaru 360 Dodge Shelby Lancer Maserati BiTurbo Aston Martin Cygnet
  13. ^ +1 on agreement with the auto industry.
  14. As I said earlier, if Ram does a full size SUV with the EcoDiesel, they will murder the competition as people would like the torque and MPG of a diesel to pull their trailers.
  15. You can roast me all you want, I do not care, but this is the worlds UGLIEST car Ever. This continues to prove the idiot leading FCA needs to be fired and this brand put back where it should have stayed in the history books. Waste of Billions that should have stayed in the states to build new models for Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Chrysler.
  16. This will not stop people using Diesel for trucks and SUVs for hauling weight and trailers. In regards to Diesel cars I expect to see these decline as Hybrid auto's will replace them. VW's lies have led to a world that will turn against diesels I believe.
  17. http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/autos-luxury/10-luxury-car-brands-that-time-forgot/ss-AAfhCnL?ocid=UP94DHP Have to say the pictures are awesome, but also a bit surprising to learn about some beautiful auto's that the industry seemed to forget about and leave behind. Will admit that I did not know the Continental was an actual division of Ford, I always thought it was part of Lincoln.
  18. Sweet, the packaging and pricing is great and I think will be very successful for Cadillac.
  19. Blizzack does a great job but very poor wear, two seasons at most and they are shot. The Michelin is an awesome tire that not only handles well but lasts down side is they are more expensive.
  20. Having gone to college in Kobe Japan spending almost 3 years there, the face is off the Toyota Crown cars that have been their standard like forever as taxis due to you being able to order them with rear doors that can be opened and closed by the drive from inside. This looks like a Crown that they just raised the roof on it giving it a bit of the UK taxi look. Should be comfy and roomy inside plus far easier for the elderly with walkers and canes to get into and out of.
  21. Interesting find, many people are NOT happy with the Level 1 charging cords coming with their EV's, I found on the DIY (Do it Yourself) sites, one example is the instructables web site for DIY peeps. http://www.instructables.com/id/313CONVERTING-A-2013-LEAF-LEVEL-1-12AMP-CHARGER-TO/ Found it very interesting how many people are clearly converting their cords to handle both 110 or 220 charging so they reduce their charge times. Also found a site that allows you to pick your EV auto you bought and then get commercial 3rd party made cords so you can have a portable Level 1/2 charging cord. http://evseupgrade.com/ So just to clarify for those wondering what this Level 1, Level 2 Level 3 charging is, you have 110V the slowest trickle charge out there at 14 to 16 hours, 220V faster charge usually you see an 8hr charge time and the fastest 440 3 phase charging or level 3 which gives you 80% charge in 30 min. So what is the difference of a DIY cord versus buying one that was made? Your time and on average a difference of about $500 dollars. But if looks do not bother you, build it yourself. If you do not mind paying and getting a nice looking commercial level 1/2 portable cord, then buy. Your choice. Less I forget that this is about Tesla, what is the Supercharger that Tesla does compared to these? Superchargers coupled with SolarCity (of which Musk isChairmen) will produce “more energy than the cars will draw” from the unit, so you can be confident of truly green power in your Model S units currently charge at 100 kW according to Musk (although Tesla’s official Superchargerpage lists therate at 90kW), and 120 “into the future” Supercharging is available for both the 85 kWh and 60 kWh versions of the Model S (not the entry level 40 kW) Network consists of 6 stations now, that almost give total coverage of California (provided you are driving a 85 kWh/265 mile Model S)
