  1. I hope they never call mid-engined car a Corvette. Big motor, light weight and RWD make the Corvette a Corvette. The formula works and you can get into for well under 50 and have all the toys for 60 and go into a Z06 and ZR1 now if you wish. Why would they mess with that. They would be better putting there developement cash into a Chevelle, or Firebird or RWD Impala.
  2. What is zero to sixty on a GMT-900 with a Vortec Max, I am sure not as fast as the perfect Turd. Still must be very quick.
  3. More pics? :AH-HA_wink: Glad your having good luck and enjoying it! They look bad-a$$!
  4. I think MT rated the Turd second in a comparo test against the Silverado. So they basically ate $h!, and the worst part is I get that rag. Keep in mind the truck wasn't out when they tested in 2007 for it. But still it makes them eat ass because those bastards basically gave a truck all new for 2007 truck of the year for 2008. Talk about stupid. For Toyota they think its great but if the Turd had been out in 2007 for testing GM still would have got it. I feared this happening all year because I knew they didn't have out for 2007 test. $h!, but in away its a good thing it makes them eat $h! with there obvious relability issues. GM, Ford and Dodge will have the last laugh here.
  5. I am glad there in demand. But uhh seriously this is good people want them, bad they don't have enough to meet demand.
  6. Ah gotcha good luck with the new Pala man. I like the color and does it have pretty good guts from the 3500 VVT?
  7. I didn't know an LS could have alloy wheels or a remote start (from the factory) at least not in the US. Nice ride tho and I hope you have good luck with it. Impala's are great cars I love mine except that head gasket has a leak! (But knock on wood it is my first problem with her.)
  8. Yeah there like a 12 way power front seats and you slide the slider to select right or left seat up front. It even had power head rests...
  9. I hope they don't use any of these and go back to REAL names.
  10. A friend of mine was looking for a new compact car I said get a Chevy Cobalt SS (2.4L) with a 5spd. he got exactly that after driving it I was very impressed. The 2.4L ECOTEC had plenty of kick and pulled hard plus it had a pretty nice interior with good seats. Over-all I was impressed with it. I have never been in a G5 or Cobalt with the 2.2L ECOTEC but have ridden in a Sunfire with one and it has less guts and is considerably slower, tho not slow enough that I wouldn't get one. Personally I would get a G5 GT or a Cobalt Sport Coupe. I like the sedan but would rather have a coupe and of course a 5spd.
  11. Thanks for all your help and explaining it to me.
  12. I saw my first base Malibu LS in gold and still liked it.
  13. More good news for the 'Bu.
  14. This is a sad day.
  15. A very bad one.
  16. NO! That thing is so ugly.
  17. Thanks for the explination but what about GM not being number 1 and Toyota taking them over is that in over-all sales? (World Wide) Or US sales or what?
  18. Whats the Turd for?
  19. Fly can I still get my Bonneville in?
  20. Anthem Motors Pontiac GTO RA6 Kit There you go as for the RX-8 once again it has an aftermarket kit on it and other mods. Good luck on your car buying. (Go with a GTO!)
  21. Cool let me find the link for the kit.
  22. I am going to warn you don't show me photos of Toyota's... :AH-HA_wink: I have no idea the Celica went away in 2005 and it was one of Toyota's dumbest moves ever. As for the body kit and stuff I have no clue I am guessing that person has close if not 10,000 in that car. A used Celica vaires on miles and trim and where you live. As for the GTO let me dig up the company who makes that body kit. I think it is a few grand to do the conversion.
  23. Welcome to C&G my friend. The car you are looking at is a 2005 Pontiac GTO that has been modified extensively for show use. The actual car was never produced with the body kit nor wheels so you couldn't order it or buy one from Pontiac. Having said that a few compaines have a kit they sell to convert your GTO into the car seen above, it requires extensive body modification as the body is much wider and bolder. I have read an article in PE on it and on the net a few times. You can have it done but it will cost you. Sadly the GTO production ended summer/early fall of 2006 in Elizabeth Au. but you can find them new on dealers lots still sitting for mid-high 20's and even less used. The 2005 and 2006 models have an LS2 V8 (6.0L) and 400hp and 395lbft. of tq. the 2004 version had an LS1 V8 (5.7L) and 350hp and 365lbft. of tq. The GTO added hood scoops and big wheels for 2005 and 2006 also and colors changed. I have seen (04-06) GTO's run for as little as 16,000.00. Not a bad price at all considering when new they were between 32K and 36K.
  24. For Edmunds the review wasn't that bad, yeah it has torque-steer which can be somewhat amusing, to be honest. Also it has extra room the Mazda doesn't have and looks pertty cool. I'd say it is a hit. (all things considered)
