It's amazing to me that the 24hrs of Le Mans had absolutely terrible coverage yet the 6hrs at Watkins Glen are completely covered.

You're kidding... They can't fit a 255/65R17? Does it rub or something? On the current generation of Escape? Not a chance. Somebody has some 255/55r17s I think and they rub at full lock. I'll try and find the pic he posted of it. Okay it was 255/50r18 not 255/55r17s

^ For being a little guy, That thing looks tough! Too bad if something like that actually got produced they'd probably make the brakes too large to put a reasonable sized wheel on to therefore put a nice knobby tire like pictured. That is the situation the Escape owners are in(the forum i'm on). They want ^ look but you can't get a smaller wheel than a 17 to fit over the caliper so the "tallest" tire that can fit is a 235/55R17(I believe).

granted.. but THIS is now seriously asking for the 2.0L T Too bad Chevy doesn't have the balls to make it.. Yeah.. but they have the BALLS to make a Camaro RS, SS, Z28, ZL1 and a Corvette and Z06.. an SS.. yeah.. I would take that over what your boys at Ford shovel us any day of the weak.. Well Ford competes with the Camaro(GT/350/350R)..obviously no Corvette competition but they do have a legitimate supercar that Chevy does not have.. Ford offers performance across waaaaay more platforms. Nothing against any of those Chevys. Those three are great in their respective classes and the Corvette fights well out of its weight class. And the SS..I feel is just underrated.. I said it somewhere else yesterday but I wish more were selling so I could pick one up used in a few years for a good price because it is an awesome car. It just depends what market for a car you're in. Ford offers performance variants down to their Fiesta ST and up the the GT and a lot in the middle. To each their own because I would take Ford's lineup of performance cars over Chevy's line of performance cars. Also, isn't the Camaro RS just like an aesthetic package..?

I remember reading that actually.. And the two engines we're talking about deliever power almost completely opposite. One is a small turbo 4 making a lot of low end power and it loses steam up top and the other is a good size V6 that builds and builds power till redline. I know tuning can fix A LOT of issues an ower has with their car but if we get in to the aftermarket world.. all of this new car talk means almost nothing because if you have enough money to modify a car..you can do anything you want. But, nonetheless, is your ability to tune your car less awesome. I love the aftermarket. It is just hard to talk about that and new cars.. hopefully I'm making sense..lol

Just for comparison sake.. Ford's 2.0T

The 3.6 in the Traverse/Enclave/Acadia according to Chevy's site is 288hp@6300rpm/270tq@3400rpm. So that graph isn't correct. I see it says it's for the SRX, they must have it tuned differently.
-
Lol am I talking to myself? It's the tune!! Tune, tune, tune! Give me 1 hour with an Enclave and it'll probably be able to do a burnout. You know, in case you want to lay down a patch when taking the kids to soccer practice. These cars are set up to pull timing for like 5 different reasons, it's asinine. Has nothing to do with gearing. The transverse V6 cars all have the same transmission as me, the Lambdas even have a more aggressive final drive ratio. I'm confused because your tune youre talking about transmission tuning correct? Not a tune for more power..right? Also, 265tq isn't anything special in a 3 row SUV..so yes a lack of torque still, imo.

Read more about the new Cruze or Focus RS? I'll read more about the fun car! ..345hp..AWD..

Not going to happen. New engine family only goes up to 1.5L because of the european displacement tax. Same reason Ford switched to the 1.5T in the Fusion after debuting with a 1.6T. Sonic SHOULD be getting an SS. It's about time GM got back into the sport compact game. The Sonic is BEGGING for it, and the RS was just a tease without more power. granted.. but THIS is now seriously asking for the 2.0L T Too bad Chevy doesn't have the balls to make it..

Ram News: Ram 3500 Heavy Duty Now Boasts 900 Pound-Feet From Its Diesel Engine
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Ram
So, I'm trying to build one online(I know 2015 model) and I can't figure how to actually get the max towing with the dually. Basically, I can't find the dually option. I assume that is the option that maximizes towing capacity, right? ..jeez..I found it.. lol Well is the new truck is like the outgoing model the dually and diesel add $12,500 to the base price. 8300 - Engine 3000 - Trans 1200 - Dual rear wheels- 79 replies

It's probably quite costly to make a coupe when it really isn't going to be cheaper. Just different. People who probably want small economy cars want practicallity and small coupes aren't exactly that.

Where do you live that you still see Cavaliers on the road? Ho-LEE I worked with a guy last year who had just bought a 03 Cavalier coupe.. He needed something quick(not vehicluarly quick lol), cheap, and reliable. I actually helped ocnvince him of that over a Cobalt with a ton more miles. He was/is young and doesn't have much money and helps out his family a lot and the Cavalier was all basic with manual windows and such and I was telling him that vehicles this age/mileage will have things go and the more things that are electronic the more expensive and harder to fix they will become. Long story short, he loves his little Cavalier and the little EcoTech 2.2.

That'd rock. My PSN user name is the same as my screen name here if you wanted to add me, same for you 'Bong if you do decide to hook up the PS3. Hey ccap, I picked up a Boss 302 in the game (obviously) last night, but even after a few mods (suspension, flywheel, driveshaft, tires), the thing really feels like a dog. I'm assuming you have one, is there a good way to wake it up? I was trying to use it for the N/A race series because it was right around the performance limit stock, and it utterly failed to produce for me. This is the car that ran neck and neck with an M3 in a real life comparison, so I know Gran Turismo shafted it. On the other hand, I've found the Focus ST to be one of my favorite driver's cars in the game. After driving the sled-like rendition of the Boss, the Focus feels like a f@#king RC car on steroids, in the best possible way. The thing just flies and handles on rails. I utterly destroyed the turbocharged series. I was driving like a total jackass on one technical track I don't think I've driven before and the car just ate up all my mistakes and zipped out of all the turns. Honestly, I'm not sure. I do have it but I've raced it in the stupid raced waaaay detuned just because I want to use it but it is doggy there. But things like the flywheel and tires on the highest settings with a lower powered car I think can actually hamper it some. If your tires are too sticky it will give the illusion that isn't slower than it is and I think if you look under the "stage 3" flywheel(or whatever) it says something about how it isn't always best.. I'll have to look into it though. YES! I love the ST. It is definitely my go-to on <500pp races. If I could learn how to tune the differential on cars I think I could be a lot better at setting my cars up.. I think I can do a fairly good job at the suspension settings but I know I don't put enough effort into the diffs. Have you ever tried to use an internet tune? ie. a tune somebody posted online. It might help you more than me because on GT5 I really wanted a moster C63 but I could never set it up to take a turn, drove like an old school muscle car. So, I googled a few setups(they were all very different..) and tried them. I think the controller made it very difficult to take advantage of the subtle changes a good setup will give you. Awww.. sorry buddy.. pets aren't just "pets" they're true family members and missed as such.

He does have a point. You have really spin up the rpm in the 3.6 in the lambdas to get to that torque. That hurts fuel economy and makes them feel a little sluggish. I did notice this in my friend's dad's Acadia. It will scoot for a large vehicle, you just have to work the throttle a little more than I would like personally. It needs those RPMs.

No freakin' way. Pics or I call BS. Sorry I was too busy picking my up my jaw from the ground. You son of a... lol jk, that's friggin' awesome though! Super jealous.
-
I'm not disagreeing but I am surprised they never even had a second engine option for either the Acadia Denali or top trim Buick Enclave. Mostly the Denali stood out to me but I would think if a GMC got a second engine then a Buick would as well. Keep it away from Chevy in hopes of an upsell of the other two.. I'm pretty sure you're correct, average buyer doesn't know anything about torque and its importance.

I literally never would have thought this was anything special. But, it's pretty awesome actually. Nice eye. Anyway, I saw a black Porsche Mecan S today. Looked super sharp!

The MKX and Enclave share a price point and much of the options list is similar. The Enclave punches above its station in life though as it ages, that is fading. The primary difference between the two is in the rear where the Enclave has 3-row seating. Years ago when I drove the MKX, I called it a Lambda with the ass cut off. It feels that big. Ahhh that makes sense then (to you too 'Bong). A friend of mine's dad has an Acadia and we took it on a float trip one year and it fit 6 guys and our luggage surprisingly EXTREMELY comfortable. He also said when we got there that he had gotten 23mpg and that is including an hour and a half of mountains and he does NOT have a light foot. It got sketchy in those mountains with a heavy footed driver lol. His is FWD though. Either way it did its job extremely well. Today, looking at the center stack... it looks very aged, but only in the center stack. Everything else has aged very well imo.
