I straight up do not believe 100% of the people you know who've gotten it have been hospitalized. How many of those 100%(not sure what the actual number is here, that'd be useful information) were older than 60 and were well overweight? Yes, I have stated more than simply my age. My health routines and fitness regiment are large factors that I've mentioned as well. To say I'm not currently vaccinated because of a political affiliation is straight up ignorant on your part. Why in the world would I rely on a political stance to guide my health and well being? There isn't a single politician that gives a flying fck about either of us. All they care is about their dollars and power.

So it's just your personal feeling, 100% anecdotal, 0% provable, that the numbers are being skewed by a few states? The numbers could be skewed in the other direction, too. Very large increase of a very small number. I'm sure we all know dozens of people who've gotten COVID. How many have you known needing to be hospitalized?
-
Yes, non-vaccinated have a higher percentage of being hospitalized but look at the numbers for yourself. I can't take a screen shot while my curser is on the graph so I'll link the page and let you know the numbers. Last week graphed, ending Nov 27th for 18-49 year-olds Unvaccinated hospitalization rate: 20.8 per 100,000 = 0.0208% Vaccinated hospitalization rate: 0.9 per 100,000 = 0.0009% Yes, that's a large gap but 0.0208% is still an incredibly small number. https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#covidnet-hospitalizations-vaccination https://gis.cdc.gov/grasp/COVIDNet/COVID19_3.html I find it very strange that the 18-49 year range is BY FAR the largest age range. It's certainly misleading statistically as there's no reason why that group should cover 31 years while the other categories are less than have that range. Use real statistics to back this rather than news articles. News articles are 100% to get you to click and watch/listen/read their article. There's no splashing headline with 70 year-old, obese individual passed from COVID. What else would you like to know? I'm open to discussion. And the odds are vastly on my side.

Did you forget your own words? -------- It is an EXTREMELY LOW percentage that life will be permanently altered *when* I catch COVID. Can't disagree with this statement

Vaccinated also spread it and plenty still get sick.
-
Why would one care if the unvaxxed get vaxxed or not? If one is vaxxed they should be just fine.
-
That's a very good point and I hadn't thought about their health care system. Yeah, that makes sense then.
-
Hey, justify it however you'd like.

Speaking of diecast, @Cory Wolfe, I've been into building models for the last year+. This is what I've built and the ones I have up next. I'm currently building an Enzo that I'm about finished with.
-
I finished my Beretta model. Well, this wasn’t so much if a built as it was just a paint job as it was an old dealer promo model that I painted to look as close to my first car as I could. It has the same body as my Z26 had but different wheels.
-
Absolutely. There are just too many variables to draw such a line out of blindness and ignorance. Both extremes have proven to be a-holes about it and there are very few that are in the middle or even willing to have a civil discussion about it.

I'm not remotely saying I'm 100% risk adverse, because that also isn't possible. The low numbers of issues of the vaccinated? I never said I was worried of getting some illness/having and issue from a covid vaccine. Like I've already said, I'm taking in information, evaluating what's out there, and making decisions. I'm not some anti-vaxxer thinking the government is out to track me (while carrying a phone that already does that). Heck, I've recently applied for a Federal job that requires me to be vaccinated. I'll get vaccinated if I get the job. It isn't a huge issue to me, like some have made it. I'm just glad my parents both got vaccinated over the summer as they're obviously older (mid-60's) and my dad has a form of lymphoma (in remission for a few years now). They are the pretty right wing, super pro Trump (sorry - politics), that would be the kind of anti-vaxxer that I'd be worried about. I'm just glad they got it.

Coming from somebody who rides a motorcycle (I love to as well) and shown riding without a helmet. I don't think talking risk assessment with a motorcycle rider and has ridden w/o a helmet is really going to persuade me.

We all do, everyday. Hence why I work out regularly, eat fairly healthy(certainly won't lie and say I eat perfectly), and take my regular vitamins.
-
Don't worry, I'll be sure to let you guys know when I get it and start feeling terrible. I guess I wouldn't be able to tell you after I pass but I'm Facebook friends with Drew so he can inform you. I'm sure he'd see something. Not ignoring it. Just because I haven't been vaccinated yet, doesn't mean I'm ignoring new and incoming information. IMO, that is absurd you'd tax people based on a covid vaccination status.
-
Then why even mention that irrelevant information, saying it "disagrees"? I'll let you know in a few years.
-
Do you have statistical proof that 25 year olds athletes are dying while 95 year old smokers are getting it and living their best life?
-
Don't give me that "those are your opinions, that age doesn't matter" https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid_weekly/index.htm
-
I most certainly was.
-
Yes, there are anomalies but the vast majority of both of those go in the opposite direction.
-
Exactly. Yes, I very much expect to get it, if I haven't already been asymptomatic sometime within the last two years.
-
With my age, weight, fitness level, I don't feel like it will benefit me anymore than when I finally get it (if I haven't already come across it and been asymptomatic). Natural immunity. I wear my mask wherever asks me to, I don't throw a fit. It isn't a big deal to just abide by private business' requests. It's way easier to just wear a mask than throw a fit. I don't even really complain about wearing one. I obviously don't love to, nobody does, but it is far from a big deal to me. Oh I know. It isn't a big deal to me though.

I've never taken a COVID test nor have I been vaccinated...

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
ccap41 replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
I'm assuming I'm one of those "touting the need for dealerships" but I really don't think I'm in that boat. I've only been stating the "suggested" part of the price and that it's just supply and demand in a "free market". I don't exactly enjoy dealership experiences. I've never had a bad one but I've also never had a great one. If Ford is going to crack down on dealerships adjusting prices up, I'm all for that as well. I've never said i want dealerships to mark prices up, just that I understand WHY they're marking prices up.
