  1. Good point, that's fair enough.
  2. This actually makes me wonder what my uncle will do. He was supposed to get his R1T sometime in March. I know money isn't an issue to him but I wonder if this will piss him off and cancel just out of spite. I should reach out to him and see what's up.
  3. Is this much different than dealerships adding the "market adjustment" to vehicles already ordered? I disagree with both tactics, by the way.
  4. It's only been on sale for a few months, I believe. They've probably only sold/built a few hundred, maybe a thousand at this point.
  5. Yeah, this will likely bring it down some. This is atrocious PR. I understand raising prices on new orders but you CANNOT raise prices for those who ordered vehicles a year ago and just still haven't received it yet. Also, when I say I understand raising prices, I DO NOT understand 17% and 20% increases. Like Surreal has said, prices have gone up on about everything in the past few years but vehicles absolutely have not gone up anywhere near that.
  6. It's been in the 50's-60's since Jan 19th. After their initial first-week rally, it's been down for awhile. It peaked at 172 on the 5th trading day, November 16th. Yesterday it did drop 8.36% from 67.56 to 61.91.
  7. I don't think it's a failure, just not pretty. There are some very slippery vehicles out there that don't have the penalty of this styling, Teslas and Lucid Air come to mind.
  8. Somehow, I think the CC looks pretty great. These...do not. I completely agree. No matter how quick, technologically advanced, or insane range these have, I just cannot get on board the styling.
  9. Don't be pessimistic! You're the Silverado of humans, you'll live welllllll past your expected life! You may be beaten on, pulling well above your rated weight, mismatching tires, and a sagging headliner, but you'll still be chugging along!
  10. They did start earlier than I thought. I had no clue this thing was for sale in August of last year. I know it's only a few months difference but I thought it was "newer" than that. https://insideevs.com/news/560120/kia-ev6-wholesale-december-2021/ But, EVs accounted for 3.2% of Kia's sales last year. That's not too bad.
  11. It's one thing for the vehicle to be designed around being an EV but another to make a classic into an EV. I don't want a classic muscle/sports car to be silent, period.
  12. Wasn't that only like the first month of sales? I can't imagine the sales of that will stay at 0.002% of KN sales. Garbage sample size.
  13. It would be so disappointing to drive something this beautiful and have zero engine/exhaust noises.
  14. I can't imagine they'd price the Ranger Raptor the same as the F150 Raptor.
  15. 80kW battery? That thing will travel an awesome 75 miles before needing to charge. I'm very confident that electricity will be a better mover of weight with superior control having front and rear motors and they're extremely heavy vehicles with all of the batteries already. My only issue is the range is cut so much that it just isn't worth it quite yet.
  16. Lambda SUVs are about as far from "killer" as it gets in my book. FWD, same torque-less V6 from 20 years ago. Not saying they're not competitive, just SO FAR AWAY from something being described as "killer", to me.
  17. "very competitive" is far from a "killer product" Camaro wouldn't be dropping in sales for like 5 years if it was a "killer product" like the Charger/Challenger, right? While I agree as a whole, Rivian has the Amazon contract that should take up a few years of production as (hopefully) the demand builds for their other products.
  18. The same reason being powered by diesel was advertised differently, see TDI's.
  19. I love old brick buildings and hate to see them run down and go to waste.
  20. It's disappointing there are zero Lincoln sedans here now and, a good as this looks, it's disappointing it isn't coming here. Aaaaaand just like that you ruined the car for me. ?
  21. Sorry for your loss, bud...
  22. You get like 20-something cubic feet of additional coke in a Lightning frunk! Electric trucks just make sense for drug smuggling. ?
  23. Two of my best friends (twin brothers) each have Bostons. One of them is still a young pup and I think only 3 years old but the other is probably 13ish. It's always a little sad to see such an energetic dog slow down with its old age. He hasn't had any major health issues but his age says something is coming. Luckily he still has his sight. It's always funny when an animal can't see because of obvious things we see but it's extremely sad 2 seconds later.
  24. As long as there's a muffler attached (which there probably isn't), why wouldn't this be allowed? Best looking OEM off-road wheel that isn't a steelie?
  25. Do you have a link to this test showing it as one of the "safest out there"? Having money to buy expensive tires is 100% relatable to this conversation. More homeless = more people with less money to spend on tires.
