  1. Especially in that growing segment of ultra luxury and ultra performance SUVs. I mean, only a few years ago there was only like the X5M, GLE63, G Wagen, Range Rover and Cayenne and now there are offerings from Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Tesla Model X, Jaguar, Maserati and Alfa Romeo. I only included 2-row SUVs because, well, the 3-row boats aren't in the performance category.
  2. It's funny that there is a G Wagen within that picture snippet, with an Aventador.
  3. Comparing the Uras and the G Wagen, they're both at the top of the food chain. As much as I don't like the looks of the Uras, they're pretty damn popular and I'd still love to drive one as they're probably damn fun to drive.
  4. I think it's safe to say AT LEAST this many people.
  5. I saw my first Bronco a could weeks ago in person and they're a lot larger than I expected overall. Those ^ wheels and tires look aftermarket but probably not a whole lot different than the OEM options. Those market adjustments are absurd and I hope they sit on it until they have to bring it down to MSRP or even discount it for being over a year old.
  6. Taking advice from Wrangler designers still from when they were the same company...Hahaha
  7. Yeah, I still think this will sell just fine. Well, the G-Wagen was all-new in 2019. I don't think it's out-dated as of 2019.

    Pictures!

I absolutely LOVE the style of your home! The all stone is beautiful.
  9. It'll certainly pass 100k. Agree but that's exactly how the other super large SUVs are.
  10. So what you're saying is you're genuinely comparing a 281hp/317tq electric motor with either a 760hp/625tq or 1000hp/950tq engine and saying they're on the same playing field?
  11. Have you replaced it yet? Do you need to right away or do you have another vehicle to get you by until you find something else? Orrrr did I miss it and you already have something else? Haha
  12. I have. I must not have comprehended it somewhere so please tell me how output is insignificant.
  13. How is output an insignificant factor? I'm not trying to be a dick but, seriously, when is output not considered when comparing two powertrain swaps/builds?
  14. No, but it's an almost even comparison to the ECrate motor, not a 1000hp Hellephant. Well, 310hp vs 281hp vs 760hp 350tq vs 317tq vs 625tq I'll let you choose which numbers are similar and which are outliers.
  15. 310hp vs 281hp 350tq vs 317tq
  16. ^ Exactly, I don't know how that's remotely comparable. If you're truly looking for a similar output to the $3900 ECrate, Ford sells the 2.3T for $6600, 310hp/350tq.
  17. Then he would have went with a lesser engine. 281hp motor vs 460hp engine. I'm not seeing where the electric motor from Ford should be compared to the 1000hp Hellephant. Yeah, I get where you'd want two or three electric motors in a real expensive and performance oriented build, but I'm still not exactly sure how they compare. You need to simplify things a little here. You're stretching to a four motor setup to compare to a Hellephant. Do go no, please. How are you figuring the batteries and controller pricing to say they're cheaper than a comparable ICE?
  18. They're in the Mach-E, I'd certainly say that is a mass produced motor.
  19. I'm genuinely curious what all of the additional parts/batteries would cost for a setup just for a ballpark figure. 50k sounds a little high but that's also with me assuming just one $3900 motor. If you're spending that kind of cash, there will be two or three of them also adding additional controllers and batteries. I guess as I type through this, 50k doesn't sounds that far off, especially considering probably 10k-15k in labor customizing everything to fit.
  20. $3900 per motor + controllers/ECUs + batteries sounds like an absurd amount of money to convert to electric. I'm just assuming everything outside of the motors is absurdly priced, because it always is.
  21. That freakin rocks! I should buy one and drop it in my C5Z model.
  22. I agree that this seems like a one-off situation and I wouldn't expect a class action lawsuit, at all. It isn't that a frame replacement is THAT big of a deal, it's that it's a new vehicle and I, personally, would just have issues trusting the shop to do a perfect job. If the vehicle was 8ish years old or older, I wouldn't care as much. I just wouldn't want this done on anything new. You replacing a frame on your own 1959 vehicle in your garage is vastly different than a dealership replacing a frame on a brand new vehicle with hundreds of sensors and miles of wires run throughout the vehicle.
  23. Agreed but it's probably a lot tougher to get them to buy it back. I know I wouldn't want to keep that vehicle long-term.
  24. Has the C8R not backed it up already? Some person worrying about delays ... *AMG One*
  25. Nobody gives a FCK about the manufacturer championship. It's all about the driver championship.
