  1. Here's the link for Automobile's drive: http://www.automobilemag.com/reviews/driven/1512-2016-chevrolet-camaro-review/
  2. Car and Driver got the eight speed SS to hit 60 in 3.9. Chevy's claiming 0.97g sustained, with better handling than the old 1LE. It's completely insane. Best part from a personal POV: seeing the weight for the SS come in only 20 pounds off what I guessed over at MT :D
  3. So the Camaro packs 67 fewer peak hp than the Shelby but 31 lb-ft more peak torque. I dunno man-I think the performance gap between these two is gonna be pretty slim, or possibly non-existent. Either way, I can definitely see a day when I own some variant of this car. Can't wait to read the writeups on the initial drives.
  4. Any version that carries an elevated price tag will probably be offered with the diesel. And a thrifty diesel it is!
  5. Agreed. This is a case of much ado about not so much. The Germans have had their share of weird/crude engines and survived. Audi's inline-5, Mercedes' supercharged 2.3, BMW's eight-valve 1.8... All engines that occurred and yet the brands were growing despite them. If Cadillac is in that growing stage, the supposed four and six NVH issues are a signpost, not a stop sign.
  6. *checks forum activity* *notes locked threads and edited posts* *weird déjà vu ensues*
  7. Ok. So if the lawsuit involves the LS7, why would they mention the LT4?
  8. It's the best-looking one they ever made but it's kinda hard to overlook 700-plus horsepower Challengers and Chargers, even if you know they weigh a half-ton more.
  9. Chillin' like a villain here On a sadder note, poor sales may be killing the Viper in a year or two.
  10. No we get the Renegade. It looks pretty decent, worlds better to my eyes than the 500L.
  11. You ain't kidding. That was a gong show.
  12. You will be watching for a while, unless they cut it down. And given what happened that inning I doubt that will be the case.
  13. No no, I'm talking about today's game The seventh inning alone was a riot. Almost literally.
  14. That may have been the nuttiest ballgame I have ever seen.
  15. Don't really know what that means. Really? After the last two pages of sales talk between you two, you don't know? Wow No sorry, I don't speak troll. Especially bad grammar troll. I am sure you know what I mean Stick to the topic.
  16. I'm down with all of that. All I'm saying is that the best-case scenario is that Cadillac gets to carve out a chunk of that media bias. Every time the knives come out for the brand now it's for smaller and smaller things. That's good. It means they're getting there. As you pointed out, even the favourites do fall out of favour, as with BMW. As long as Cadillac stays relentless they will progress.
  17. Ya, but you can't limit the looks of the Renegade to a small dealer network either. It needed to be a Jeep for that reason, if no other.
  18. Meh. Let's not rehash things. He came around on the Mustang sales, right? Case closed. But the small trucks really are the big sales success story for this year IMO. Nearly 120,000 units sold with no noticeable impact on half-ton sales is astonishing.
  19. I'm all for engine improvements, but unanimous consensus is the criteria for victory? Uh, no. Neither of the Germans can score a knockout blow versus the other. There is no such thing as a knockout blow in this segment. When a knockout happens, it's in a segment the other two don't participate in (Like the new Mercedes-AMG coupe).
  20. Now: onward! ...how 'BOUT those Canyonados and Sierrados!
  21. Indeed. And I wouldn't exactly call their pickup lineup crappy either. Or their full-size rear-drivers. Or Jeep. Or... You're quite free to hate the playa. But his game's been pretty strong.
  22. So now why you know why we're not all gaga over Mustang sales. Glad we had this little talk
  23. We shall see. All I know is that Marchionne's ability to make good stuff out of scraps has so far been successful. It may all end badly, still. But nobody's gotten wealthier betting that way to this point.
  24. The SS is an awesome performance bargain that deserves to sell well. Ford will probably have nothing that matches it's combination of performance and price. I am sorry that you cannot see this, but facts are facts. I'm not writing any of these articles, nor am I pulling these numbers outs thin air. All good, solid, third-party stuff. Why are you feeding him (as evidenced by his lack of knowledge as to why production stopped on the previous F bodies in the first place)? Topic please, stop inciting. Lack of production could have a definite impact on sales. Sounds topical to me.
