TOYOTA NO LONGER "FOREIGN"
The Domestics have been building vehicles in Canada for years, upon years, and are (or at least WERE) a core part of the Central Canadian economy. Toyota opened their first Canadian auto plant in 1987. However, they did create an aluminum wheel factory in my area in 1983. Let Toyota come back in another, oh, 30 years and THEN tell me they are 'Domestic,' because, right now, they are still an Import brand.

Tainted food from China making it into US
Chickety China, the Chinese Chicken; You have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin' The $h! they try to pull on people is disgusting. I've heard multiple horror stories of food in China, the worst being the deaths of infants because of counterfeit baby formula. A bunch of assholes saw no problem with killing children. And they want to sell me food? F*ck them.

SPY SHOTS! 2008 Honda Accord sedan
That's true, but I have first handedly come across people who have had similar instances as my family, however they mostly involve Toyota's. Honda's on the other hand, I cannot really fault because every experience I have had with Honda was positive, and people buy them over and over again. I don't see that as much with Toyota.

They're winners in that department.

SPY SHOTS! 2008 Honda Accord sedan
He DOES have fewer 'posting chevron's' and a much lower ranking than you and I... So I'm going to be an asshole, and say that he can easily counter the 'no life' argument. As for the whole reliability deal, my family bought a 2000 Toyota Sienna XLE, and one of the main reasons we bought it, was because Consumer Reports deemed it to be the best minivan we could buy (until the Odyssey showed up). It was also the perfect size, etc... Reliability was a main factor for us. That van is on it's way out... we've had engine problems, especially with the injectors, a problem with the power sliding door, and quite a few other smaller, yet annoying issues. The van rattles something fierce, and even the little digital clock is half-busted. It only works intermittently, which isn't the biggest inconvenience, but it's still a b*tch at times. My 1990 GMC truck has no such rattles, no corrosion, and has had NO issues with anything to do with the engine. The digital clock works just fine too, there's no dead pixels/dots either. Plus, the truck has certainly been thrown around quite a bit more, what with all the heavy pulling, towing, and cross country use it has endured. The ironic thing is, is that Consumer Reports always deemed the earlier Sierra's to be near junk, and a breeding gorund for issues in the coming years. With this in mind, how can one accurately vouch for 'reliability' ?

Chrysler Imperial one step closer to production
I can only dream.

Gas boycott
Maybe consider a propane retrofit? Providing you want to sacrifice bed space for tanks. I saw a HEMI Dodge Ram with the conversion a couple days ago.

Pontiac places G8 and G6 GXP in rap video
Is this the G8's target audience?

Pontiac places G8 and G6 GXP in rap video
It's one thing for the Escalade to be featured in a Rap video. The Escalade suits the part... it's big, it's got lots of chrome, and it's excessive. The Chrysler 300 doesn't look out of place either. But a Pontiac G8? I thought GM was going for a sophisticated, almost European flair with the Pontiac G8... something that Rap is not about. Mainstream Hip-Hop is not intelligent, nor is it sophisticated. It's quite the opposite.

BV Hates Raccoons... He Does... No Lie
So... are Raccoons now more 'awesomer' than Rocks? I'm an asshole. Sue me. Still, that's a pretty sh*tty thing to happen. Bizzarre as well. Who would have thought those little bastards would have developed a taste for petroleum based plastics, and metals...

The difference is... is that the VE's don't suck.

GM's silly engine covers...
Some of these posts have had plenty of time vested into them. Way more time than it would have taken to take off a lousy engine cover.

Pentastar's BACK!
The Pentastar reminds me of the K-Cars too. However, if there was ever a time Chrysler needed a "K" or "LH" ... it's now.

New Dodge crossover
Seems like they didn't bother trying to snap interior pictures. I wonder why? Oh, and the blog entry is biased to the point of idiocy. The only two larger crossovers I can think of from Chrysler are the Pacifica, and Magnum.

Gas boycott
One dude I know refuses to go to the Starbucks in the nearby vacinity. He would rather travel 5 miles, through traffic, and over a bridge to a different one, because he claims it tastes better.

Carburetors to Hydrogen
Hmm... Maybe I should go back to considering that '68 Firebird in my neighbourhood.

Added some color to the Cobalt SS engine!
Looks pretty cool. I'm not big on engine paint, mostly because I only see ricers do it, and they do it in some grotesque colour combinations. But this job looks nice and clean.

Worst case scenario
Well, I live in Canada, so if that happens, there will be plenty of lag time before we copy the States. Our government isn't known for 'doing things quickly. If that were to happen, I'd just pick up a used Mustang GT, or a 2000+ F-Body. Sure, it won't be the newest machine on the block, but it'll still be fun.

You've been binging on Chick Flicks recently, haven't you? He's going to burn in Hell anyway.
