Well regular people CAN get in on the system if they have the finances. I think in Europe, a one tonne credit runs at about 18 Euros right now. I live in a province where we have a 'carbon tax' and honestly, I actually like the system, where the taxes levied on 'carbon' are redistributed in the way of reduced income taxes. A cap and trade is also good because it does work, as shown by a similar system that helped to dramatically lower acid rain in the early nineties.

Well, if it creates a cap and trade system, then there will be plenty of money to be made in the future through the trading of carbon credits. Waxman's bill will likely be murder on the Canadian economy though, especially Alberta's tar sands.

Anyone who boycott's the company because of this is a moron. The Big Three, and all the other automakers all got tax breaks, incentives, and cash for setting up shop in states and provinces prior to the bailouts for ages, and I didn't hear people screaming for boycotts. Pretty much every foreign automaker gets tons of cash from their respective governments anyways.

If it sticks around as a collector, it will give future generations the opportunity to 'WTF' and aliens will be able to conclude that there was no intelligent life in GM circa 2008.

Isn't this like, a weekly thing for North Korea? Besides, I'd have to wager that if North Korea does indeed try something, the first retaliation won't be from the US, but instead, China.

I'd go with the G8, because it'll be a lot of fun, but it also has a back seat and a trunk, so it's much more practical. Plus, it won't be around for too much longer, and you'll have something of a niche product.

My Dad has been on his BMW for the better part of two weeks, so we just gave him a call in Saskatchewan.

I'm using Google Chrome, and the site was unable to show me pictures, and it wouldn't even show the configurator, just giving me a big blank white page, instead. Not a great first impression at all.
