  2. Happy birthday, WMJ and Zeta!
  3. Hey, good to see you post again! You're still down in Brazil, huh? You must like it. Are you speaking Portuguese now? (it's been a while)...or, "voce pode falar Portugues agora?" I got to see Rio de Janeiro for 4 days in April 2003. It's easily the most beautiful city in the world, but I didn't like the "edginess," so I doubt I'll ever go to Brazil again. Oh, yeah, those older ladies on tours probably all have a sense of humor, unless they're with a church group...

  5. Well, more high-schoolish than "little" kid: Q: How many Californians does it take to screw in a light bulb? A: Ten. One to do it, and nine to share in the experience.

  7. Oh, yeah, in tea. Now that colder weather is approaching, I will be drinking a lot of Earl Grey tea with honey in it, sitting in a coffeehouse somewhere. Back to pancakes...

  9. I don't know the difference, so I had to google Aunt Jemima. That's what my parents would put on my pancakes when they made them for me as a kid. It tasted fine. I looked it up...the original syrup is corn-based. (Though I have had maple syrups, and they taste great ... I didn't read the label for the type or grade).
  10. Do these come with 4.1 L inline 6s? These were NOT good on gas, but reliable. I'd follow the others' advice, since I'm not a Jeep connoiseur.
  11. hydrophobia (the technical name for "rabies," of all things)
  12. Yes. Changing the displacement some, the 3300, as I recall, was definitely its "little brother." I remember it well, as it powered many Centurys and Cutlass Cieras. I don't remember the 3.0 as being around that long, but I didn't realize it had the same architecture as the 3.8/3800. Nor do I know if the 4.1 litre V6 by Buick of the early 80s was created from the 3800?
  13. time
  14. Does anyone know the longevity the old 231 cubic inch V6s - those of the 70s? I heard that the odd-firing versions were not timing-chain-friendly. Still, the other components ought to be unaffected (they were all supposedly non-interference engines). Maybe the even-firing ones did a little better? (I know that the 3.8 in the '84 Cutlass Supreme was still going strong at 171,000 miles when we sold it).
