  1. P.E. (premature _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ) - and, no, I don't have that problem
  2. No, sir. Since when does Nevada have a YELLOW sky...can you dig up the Big Horn design and post it? THAT ONE was beautiful. I think they still feature it as an extra-cost personalized option.
  3. never mind
  4. Bingo. And Nevada's was much like that....a desertscape in the backgroud that was very muted, carrying familiar cues: the bighorn sheep, the rocks, the desert trees, etc. just like Iowa's has a silo. And Nevada's wall ALL silver which made it look distinctive. I like some of the newer plates, but not the overly colored tacky ones.
  5. Reatta: I almost forgot about those They are likable, I just don't know how they hold (held) up. They look great in Maui Blue. Intrigue: *put tongue back in mouth* - I see a couple of them just about every day...when outfitted in a slick metallic color with some nice alloys and looking all clean from the car wash, this is automotive nirvanah...for me, at least.
  6. Does it take a long time to get used to driving on the right (or correct :AH-HA_wink:) side of the street? Just thinking about going to Australia and renting a car makes my palms sweat... BTW...I like your Avatar...pretty funny.
  7. Yep *as I putz around in my 92 Regal with 229,000 miles*
  8. As I drive around and see different state license plates, I think yay or nay. Some are really cool and some are misses. My thoughts on a couple of them: California - the cursive script is cool, but otherwise bland. Washington - Mt. Rainier and the colors are soothing, but some people don't like it because not all of the state can see Mt. Rainier from where they are...and eastern WA is very different from the Seattle area where most of the population resides. Arizona - not bad Utah - TOO colorful Nevada - washed out with its golden sky...Nevada, in my mind, used to have the BEST plate of all the states: it was called the Big Horn design. The plate was essentially silver and in various shades of gray, it lightly depicted a desertscape with yucca trees and a bighorn sheep at one corner on a ridge. In navy blue Bonanza-type western letters, it said Nevada on top and Silver State on the bottom. But they got rid of it. New York - the colors chosen are kind of washed out and too cluttered in its story across the top. I think I preferred the last one (red, white and blue) with the Statue of Liberty. In the 80s, they had the ominous orange with navy blue letters and it looked great on a black limousine. Florida - I'm not so big on the oranges. I LOVED the one with the state outline, white/green/peach coloring and the name of the county of the bottom
  9. No, Sat, not like that. It was her German accent and how she said "uRRRologist," "teRRRapy," and "you tRRRy dat." Have you ever watched her on a talk show? It's impossible NOT to fall out of your chair.
  10. U Haul
  11. Gawd, I miss Dr. Ruth.
  12. Work and school combined? I'm doing that and I am mostly a vegetable of sorts or, if severely needled by something or somebody, I can go off. At times, I feel overloaded and depressed by all I have on my plate. (G&G is a release of stress for me, serving as my "smoke break"). It has been pointed out to me that there is a thing called "agitated depression" or a word like that. It sounds to me like this could be it with you. What do you think?
  13. Assume for a moment that C&G threads could be catalogued into "sex / sexual / relationships," "car problems," "current events," "(name of specific car) reviews and opinions" and yada-yada, the thread on "sex / sexual / relationships" would almost always be the best attended on this board. And you can always count on the fact that the posts and certain posters will be opinionated, divided, caustic and heated.
  14. My Dad passed away in April 1998...so about 8 years ago. It was sort of a foggy feeling for a short while thereafter, even though we knew it was inevitable since his CHF was advancing. It's always difficult to say good-bye to a loved one, so I understand. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

  18. Hey, AR05, I'm STILL diggin' those houses! That's not snow, that's a dusting!
  19. Yep, like TYD or one of you Maple Leaf types pointed out, Canada alone is a good reason for General Motors NOT to drop the Pontiac line!
  20. carrots
  21. Those with walk-in closets come out of the closet on a daily basis. Razor, I'm with you, I don't like the use of that word either. "Gay" as read in stories in grammar school meant happy. How the word got derailed into meaning homosexuality is beyond me.
  22. maraschino
  23. You're funny! You've joined the ranks of the many who proclaim "I love L.A." (raunchy but funny song by Randy Newman) and you cited one of the very best reasons to love it. LA: where you GO TO THE SNOW... because it doesn't come to you.
  24. I was following 2 of them (not deliberately) on the freeway today during lunch time. They are kind of cool...and certainly WAY better looking and better proportioned than the PT Cruiser.
  25. Well, I'm a broken record...so here goes: I am wrapping up a night time Masters in May 2007, so I don't want nor need a new car to dash like a madman on the freeway and in the parking structure looking for a space between my 48 hours at the office and my 2 classes at night. Then, I'll go to Europe for most of June and July, so the 2008s will be here when I return. Hence: Choice 1 2008 Buick La Crosse CX with some options (alloys, conv. package), 3800 V6 (the Intrigue of the new millenium, right?) Choice 2 2008 Monte Carlo LT 3.5 VVT V6 Choice 3 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix base 3800 V6 Unless something else comes around by GM or someone can convince me otherwise, these are the choices.
