I didn't think it was that hard to understand. I made a comment on a thread about geographics which happened to be where the thread creater lived anyway and my post disappeared. It's as simple as that. When mods strike off benign comments, that's not cool.

Moderators need to curb their right to alter or delete posts. Within the last few months, Ninety Eight Regency posted one of his photo parades. I commented on the setting in one photo and said it "looked very Houston TX" (which is where he happens to be from...a metropolis of 4 or so million people). Ninety Eight provided us with some humor in the grandstanding exit/re-entry also exhibited by a few others on here so I get a kick out of such "self-importance." Many people comment on surroundings or backgrounds in people's posted photos. Being that I design buildings, this is reflexive to me. Yet the post was gone. One doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out which mod axed it. Mods, your actions shouldn't reflect your personal biases.

Try listening to or reading Watergate transcripts...or the way our last First Lady (if you want to use the word "lady") talked behind closed doors...those are our country's leaders and they talk like that. The Lounge is our locker room...as long as the posts remain intelligent on other parts of the forum, I don't think our credibility is lost.

Cool. Here's me who hasn't been on a date in ages talking, like what do I know. Certain ethnic groups have different "styles" and that could be cultural. If you travel around Europe, you know how that changes, so I do pay attention to that sort of thing. A lot of high achieving girls are that way. Gotta study to keep my GPA up, gotta study for the bar exam, gotta get a good night's sleep for my high paying job (after law school), etc. If this occurs SEVEN days a week, I'd say you have a problem. If it doesn't and she seems more flexible, you can make a go of it. If she is not that assimilated (not that American/Canadian) this is probably more pronounced. If I remember my academic experiences, the foreign-born and raised Asian students are super dedicated and methodical as to how they approached the academic process, often "closing down" the library at midnight. Impressive. Hey, not to sidetrack, how about some nice Italian or Greek girls? The few times that I've been to your Greektown and they have that outside seating, I saw a lot of pretty Mediterranean looking girls.

Canada, in general, seems to be a lot more liberal than the U.S. I don't think you have anything that resembles our Bible belt. Maybe the provinces in the interior - SK, MB? The other is that, per capita, Canada seems to be more of an ethnic kaleidoscope than does the US. Yes, Nos, you are weird. But so are 90% + of the people who post here. I don't like normal people. Too confining. They tell me at work, "Robert, you are sooo weird" for all the random thoughts and jokes that I spew, but the same people that say this laugh and seem to like it. My license plates in WA state ended with: HNR - honor, and HZR - hazer (as in a fraternity) I also like acronyms. Someone on my street has PMS embedded into their number/letter sequence on their plate PMS = duh! Great stuff.
