What to buy?
Paulie is a Buick man so it is the LaCrosse he is intrigued by.

now you should know me as (tony)mute
I can't believe this... First, all this over someone who's a model...growing up in LA, you stay away with chicks who want to be actresses or models. Most chicks with "A" looks have "D" personalities, as you will eventually learn. Better to have a chick with "B" looks and an "A" or "B" personality. (Sidebar: a chick I grew up with in LA who moved to Vegas and I haven't seen in 2 years came to visit me a couple of days ago en route to Washington state for vacation...she's very attractive, Italian and never married...well, let's just say that 2 years can change a person a lot...surprise) Second, there's somebody on this thread who went to high school with her? This is weird. Third, SciGuy seizes the opportunity to "PLUG" a Romanian kid in school. Fourth, sexual preference as a prereq for working at Starbucks...I will admit that a good chunk of the dudes who sell you your drinks at Starbucks tend toward the limp wristed, so I see Tony's deflection of the issue. God, C&G never ceases to amaze me...

What to buy?
Disagree. I think it might look better with the neutral (tan) interior. Black interiors either go with a black exterior or a lighter exterior colors to set it off. Those two drown each other out.Funny. I was going to do the exact same poll for my own purposes.

What to buy?
1.You're not missing much. It's a dingy city that has an unjustified sense of self-importance 2. You know I'm just kidding with you. Hetero or gay shouldn't be an issue anyway...right? Sometimes, I wonder how well my crap rolls off your back. (Incidentally, our company's controller told me today that I was melodramatic and Italian since I've come unglued a time or two in the office). 3. Just buy the damn LaCrosse. You know what they say about "first impressions" on a multiple choice test. You've been harping LaCrosse more so than any of those others. After looking at the Aura, it looks like it will have an ugly butt. Vai. Vai. Compra la Buick.

What to buy?
Paolino: Tu gia' lo sai quale macchina io ti consigliero di comprare: la LaCrosse! Seriously, first and foremost, you need a car that will be super dependable given the fact that you watch your $ (or at least I think you do). There is nothing wrong with the 3800. In fact, there is everything right with it! Today, mine will turn over 225,000 miles and it still performs flawlessly. God, I love that damn car. If you are looking for a 10+ year car, this is a good the car for you! As for the height issue, how does that LaX feel? At 5'-10", this is never a concern for me. Isn't L.I. hot and humid in the summers? Do you really want a CXL with the leather? How about a CX with potentially nicer cloth that they may put in there next M.Y.? You can get the Comfort and Convenience package and put some money back in your wallet! Consumer Reports has already given this car a clean bill of health. The Impala is nice. The mileage is great with the 3.5 Yes, 1 LT and 2 LT have the smaller engine and that's all you need. But, this is a modification of sorts and you should wait another model year to make sure VVT electronics are all worked out. This may be a nice car for you if you need more space, but you're not even 30 yet, if I recall, so do you want an Impala? (Don't slap me, Scharmer 05!) How about a Monte Carlo without the tacky $h! on it? Or is that too Guido or "spazzatura bianca" for you? It is mechanically identical to the Impala with the same powertrain. Your choice. The Aura is brand new. I never recommend a new car. I'm too cheap to be someone's guinea pig. Yeah...yada yada...the Accord is a good car...but it feels SOOOO Japanese. It has also gotten uglier instead of better looking. Don't do it. Buy American. When will you consummate this purchase? Buona fortuna!

IF you had to drive none GM....
PB, buddy, you knew I'd be all over that. Love those Subarus. Seriously, though, this thread drives home how much I love GM. My list is fairly short: Have driven as rentals, so: 1. Chrysler Sebring hardtop coupe 2. Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 6-cylinder (too bad 4.0 L6 is gone) Would have to drive it to see if I liked it, but I do like the wedgy styling: 3. Ford Fusion

Eerie fortune cookie
I was expecting something dour that would cast a bad shadow over your life. My favorite one: "You will be comfortable in your later years." I stuck it behind a magnet on the refrigerator. I hope this is the case -- I'm pretty conservative with the dollar.

What If I Were Straight?
Good point...I mean POINTS. Yeah, they're quite high and protude straight out. That's a push up. She's more cute than beautiful....there's a difference. Cute is Meg Ryan and beautiful is Catherine Deneuve. You look at beautiful over and over. She looks kind of Italian...don't say it, because you appropriately deleted the last name. Also, Vipes, c'mon, don't use the word "breeders." Without "breeders," we wouldn't have BV, now would we? :AH-HA_wink:

2007 LaCrosse Interior
I agree. Not a bad interior. Hopefully the mousefur cloth in the base model will go away and the replacement will have a higher quality appearance and feel. Yep, it's the exterior, namely the front end, that irk me. That oval up front, when viewed straight on, just doesn't do it for me. In fact, I outright don't like it. The LaCrosse needs a slightly more youthful front end and that's a quick fix they could have thrown some money at. Don't these people hold focus groups? Do they design in a vacuum?

2007 LaCrosse Interior
P - what's your source for this? I think Ponchoman was right on this one. They dont' start switching engines/trannies until there is a good face lift or platform change. In fact, remember that walking encyclopedia that periodically posts on the site and then goes away - he said the engine would remain through 2008.

....
It's ok though I am not a truck buyer. From a stylistic perspective, it's no surprise there would be a hint of Ram/Dakota in the fender bulges. Give it a rest. I only wish that the frontal division between paint and chrome had more of a provocative V-shape or angled line to sass it up a bit.

FEMA hurricane cards bought jewelry, erotica
Any kind of big "project" (government spending, corporate spending, religious charity campaign, etc.) ALWAYS experiences the misallocation of funds. Let's face it -- there are corrupt and/or stupid people who don't have good priorities out there.
