  1. it seems like the whole situation is a wrong foot type of thing, but i guess in my opinion, your skepticism is justified. If the person was just a friend i would guess he's be excited to tell you about that other person and even want you to meet him.....and also the cologne thing. no one puts cologne on that late at night just to smell crisp and clean. one thought, could this merely be a friend that he's saying goodbye to in a way? Like ending a relationship with? or maybe, he is confused and really likes you and maybe just has a little bit of interest yet for another and hasn't been able to sort it out in his own mind yet?
  2. will write up later tonight when I have time. nice car, not entirely my cup of tea, good car nonetheless.
  3. I test drove a G8 GT today. I will have time later to post a little review later tonight. Nice enough car, but it's too much car for me. I wanted to drive the v6......will have to wait to test that.
  4. see question above. My vote is INSIGNIA. sounds more expensive and would keep the opel / saturn versions the same name.
  5. the accord's interior is the big plus, the size, and makes up for the fact that it's an ugly car.
  6. pointless. no one wants a chevy rally car. 4wd is not needed for a chevy compact. the car becomes too complex, too heavy, and too expensive. the seats in the ss are good enough, the old recaros were not that much better. 13 seconds faster on the nurburgring than ANY other sport compact.
  7. good then GM has built tons of class leading vehicles too
  8. nearly a 2 dollar/ga increase in 6 years while you know who is in charge

  10. this car will be a serious stealthmobile. one of the most fun test drives i had when shopping 2+ years ago was an Ion redline. now imagine, more hp, better chassis, better interior...... i think if i could manage to be able to wedge my wide ass into the narrow sports seats i could probably really like this car. i wish i could get my sister out of her hyundai and into this thing.
  11. toyota has never been priced low they rarely have styling advantages their interiors are sterile handling has been iffy engines have been good and fuel efficient but none have stood out like say, a Nissan VQ their dealers and service have not been the best realibility? sludge, trannies, cracked frames, busted tailgates, high repair costs i am still wondering. has toyota ever had a CLASS LEADING CAR? like a 3 series, or an accord, etc.
  12. the reason i bought a diamante (2 of them, very lightly used actually) was because we had one for a rental in CA/Napa for a week one time and i really liked the car. the runner up at the time was a saturn L series 4 cylinder 5 speed manual, new.
  13. this ain't a GM thread and the point is toyota gets way too much love for building middle of the road cars.
  14. no chrome, subtle ground effects and spoiler, killer wheels. this thing might be in my garage this fall. it's near the top list of candidates, for sure.
  15. has toyota EVER sold a class leading car here? hard to answer that one.....isn't it
  16. stealth/3000gt = japanese car i would love to own. also like the dodge stratus coupe/sebring coupe for that matter.
  17. now let's talk about why the focus sales are booming. they eschewed bringing in the glorious euro model to sell for high astra prices......instead they sell the reskin at real out the door prices averaging probably about 15-16 grand, and the car comes with sync on most of them. And ford probably isn't losing money on them like GM is with Astra and it will sell 3 times the volume of astra. the astra is a better car, but it needs a price drop, some tech features, and some hp. but its a great first step at establishing model cred for the next astra when the new delta comes out in a couple years.
  18. its a freaking daewoo forenza / epica in buick drag. my God, it sucks.
  19. too bad the astra don't have about 20hp more
  20. some? It's mental torture for someone like me to have to deal with all the holier than thou egos and stuff in the biz. that said, where i work now, nearly everyone is not at all like those kinds. i think its the only way i can retain sanity.
  21. the comments from p-oed architects is even better.
  22. hope it was a good one blu.!
  23. the egos of architects amazes me. being one of them, i am personally offended at their arrogance, egotism, and insensitivity. more rants about 'glass c0cks' http://www.partiv.com/2007/07/19/dear-arch...it/#comment-520
