  1. man you ought to read this blog on autoblog.com. a LOT of GM haters that apparently would prefer all our American brands to go out of business.......
  2. Gee, the SS impala with over 100 more horse and 1.5 litres more of displacement, and two more cylinders makes 18/28 geez, if they need to stick the 3800 under the hood, at least put the supercharged one in there. But the 3.6 SHOULD be standard. Make the 3800 a delete option for those 10 folks that will want it.
  3. you know a test is coming in Car and Driver, and they will find a way to include the S2000. They will flip flop on their Soltice vs. Miata verdict of before and it will be S2000 Miata Solstice. They will likely find a way to include a Boxster and Z3 too, just to beat up on Pontiac.
  4. and they suck at both.
  5. hey panther, get some in the car and soon you will be "69 Panther" ................. here's the car I want to HUMPANDPUMP in...... the custom cruiser with Vista Roof is like my top dream vehicle of all time! HEY HONEY, while you are lying down, check the view out of the VISTA ROOF! Imagine that with the GTO powertrain and 6 speed manual.
  6. my gosh, it was so funny you mention that. I was coming out of the Menards the other day going towards my Aztek, and there was a new Tribeca parked right next to it. I gotta tell ya, and I ain't being a homer here.....the Aztek is BETTER looking than the Tribeca. Aside from that, the two are about the same size, its just that the Tribeca looks like a 'melted' Aztek in the flesh. All around its a tish smaller and has the same 'stance'. The Tribeca looks smaller inside. I just recall thinking I was glad I only paid half ass much. Sure, my car is ugly, but at least I didn't blow 35 grand on an ugly vehicle.
  7. actually, the 500 rendering is darn close.
  8. it would be interesting to see the original Five Hundred rendering and Montego rendering presented to the press posted here, and it would be interesting to know if that was the original design and if it got badly watered down in clinics and by management. I remember the Montego rending was particularly bitchen love that car in mark's post. THAT would have sold big time.
  9. what is Honda charging for paint then, 3 grand? the new paint colors might be worth a looksie tho!
  10. Haven't FKD the wife in the Aztek yet, although I have thought about it. the fold down rear seats would be great for her to bend over onto. Plenty of headroom for the rest to occur, with the hatch closed! As for my 95 Tbird (that console is bitch to get over) and our Omni, my 77 century, 77 Electra, let's see, did i screw her in one of our Chevettes too? I don't think I screwed her in the black SHO but i do think I nailed her in the v8 SHO...no wait, maybe I didn't.
  11. yes i have. on about 10+ different cars. i get stuck driving my father in laws car too often than i would rather like to. its not worth debating why again.
  12. The Isuzu trooper was a bit of a cult vehicle and I see the Commander appealing to the same folks who liked the old Trooper, and new Land Rover LR3 for that matter. A big, boxy, capable SUV. This thing will be huge with college professors and academic elitists.
  13. well, VW's are laden with chrome now. Audis too. the press can go FK itself.
  14. The new HOE looks like a fabulous product. The mpg gains are welcome. The interiors are knockout. The powertrains deliver big ass power. the exteriors look right. If the pricing is right, these FKERS will sell, 3 dollar gas or not. The mpg is just enough to seemingly keep it out of 12 mpg territory. There's enough folks that tow, just love huge trucks, etc. that these things will be fine. Me, I don't need one, I'd more likely buy a Freestyle or somehting car like, but i have to admit, I really do like the 07 Tahoe. GM has covered its ass relative to product. The pricing will determine its fate in the market.
  15. the G6 and Mazda 6 both have tremendous front overhangs. I just shake my head when i look at my father in law's car, his 98 Olds 88. Huge overhang. Long, enormous hood. Tons of wasted space under the hood. Cabin space is cramped.
  16. not surprising. that dude should be called out.
  17. tHE tAHOE BY FAR IS THE BEST OF THAT BUNCH
  18. a 27 grand price point deserves more refinement and performance than what the 3800 offers. GM shouldn't get an exception for this because all the other competition will have better under the hood at that price.
  19. better be more than like half an inch. THREE FRICKING inches more is what the epsilon needs in width. It sure as FK don't need more overhang.
  20. 27 grand for a pushrod v6 with no power.......... otherwise they might be ok pricing wise. the 3800 is a joke offering in this car.
  21. i can't say this wows me. I don't like the Maxima/Altima sort of sweep of the doors into the dash (in fact, i fricking hate it), and the interior itself isn't wow, except that I like the gauges. The gaps and QC look rather atrocious. As an example, I think the current Astra interior is much more fetching. Still, its a new look for Saturn and an improvement over the current car. I know the exterior is a rednering, but it does nothing for me. This car better have some rear leg room. If they don't fix that issue, its pathetic. the seats and steering wheel are carry over. I wonder if the new dash isn't just partially a new skin to cover over the existing guts underneath what's there now, so they maybe didn't have tons of design freedom to redo everything.
  22. thanks for the honor! by the way, hasn't anyone notices the KICK ASS STEERING WHEEL? MY GOD I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD EVER SEE THAT NICE A SW ON A CHEVY!!!! First the corporate 3 spoker and now this bad boy? HOLY F*** THINGS MIGHT BE A CHANGING AT GM....... Anyone else see a slight Touareg interior resemblence here? How will Chevy sell any Trailblazers once this thing hits?
  23. great post.
