  1. Besides the CC, this is the only VW I would want to own.
  2. I can't wait for 68 to post in this thread.
  3. It is 2-tone now (black on gray) technically. I think I did do a photochop of it once in tan ...let me try to find it.
  4. or... Base Camaro LS Problem solved.
  5. Quick things I hate about this car. The front doors have a normal door handle but the rears are hidden somewhere. Hide both or hide neither. I hate the how the character lines don't connect. they could, but they don't. The fdront one just disappears into the middle of no where while the rear one cuts down low into the front door. I strongly dislike most design where the character line dips so low. The front door handle is mounted on the line and looks too low. The Genesis Coupe does this, but actually manages to pull it off and look good. Another thing I dislike about the character line is that it's too busy. Both lines round themselves out over the wheel arches, but the rear one looks especially bad...because it tries out straighten back out too abruptly before running into the back of the car. The design of the side of this thing is just so bad.
  6. Of course it doesn't quite compete with teh X6...the X6 is at least well proportioned and RWD. This...ugh. Just but an MDX if you want an Acura people mover.
  7. I've driven a 325i and found it to be very comfortable, and handles very well, with agree balance of ride and handling. Most of the universe will agree. Just because a car is used doesn't mean it's been trashed. Sometimes (a lot of times) people decide they just want to get the newest, latest one. I suppose this begs the question...is the BMW certified pre-owned? I'm just doing a quick search on edmunds...they show the SS gets 25 and the BMW gets 21. So it gets a little better fuel economy...but not craploads.
  8. Guess he needs it...must to be able to get any without his right hand man. :rotflmao:
  9. Thanks for the info! I'm still toying with my original idea of doing a custom black on tan interior too...
  10. You're gonna be grouped into a category with either car. The Cobalt SS fits into the boy racer crowd whereas the BMW fits into the more mature crowd...although you may also get lumped in the "I own a BMW and therefore drive like a douchebag" crowd... The Cobalt SS is fine for what it is, and sure it's capable...but comparing the two there's just no contest as far as being a driver's car and an enthusiasts car goes. Luxury Comfort RWD Superb Chassis tuning 3.0 I6 No comparison...I still can't believe this is even a question. But now I guess I have to apologies to GXT for saying it no one would ever cross shop an Accent and a 7 Series...because this isn't that far off!
  11. Well the Accord V6 is a much better car and more sporty (in coupe form especially) than the G6.
  12. GM Reportedly has three possible $100-$200M Offers for Hummer, SAIC may buy Buick It seems GM is one step closer towards selling off the Hummer band, while China Business News reports that SAIC wants to buy Buick. Follow the jump for more details. http://www.cheersandgears.com/index.php?showtopic=30087
  13. General Motors has been mandated by the U.S. government to shed brands as part of its restructuring process. Recent reports indicate that the General is hard at work, as three buyers are reportedly seeking to purchase Hummer, while a Chinese company may have interest in Buick. The Hummer fire-sale has been ongoing, but a brutal economy and non-existent credit markets have made a sale even less probable. Reuters is reporting that GM has than three bidders for the Sierra Club's symbol of excess, with one potential buyer from the U.S. and two others overseas. The price of Hummer is reportedly somewhere between $100-$200 million in cash, plus assurances that the buyer will pump money into engineering, sales and marketing. Whichever firm takes the reigns would also take over responsibility for Hummer's 125 dealers. GM would in turn continue to build the H3 at its Shreveport plant, and turn over future plans for the brand. A separate report from China Business News states that GM's partner in China, Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp. (SAIC), is looking to purchase Buick outright. The report values the Buick brand at $1 billion, mainly due to its popularity in the Land of the Great Wall. We're more skeptical about this report, however, because it's short on details and just quotes "sources." GM has also never said it would consider selling Buick. The brand is also one of the most popular marques in China, making a sale, unless the price was right, seem like a bad idea. Autoblog
  14. I wonder who came up with the wraparound angry headlights first? Was it the Sebring? If so than it makes that ugly car a trendsetter.
  15. I don't mind at all that it's IRS since it seems to be more capable offroad than any Grand Cherokee before it.
  16. Thi should have been a poll, if only to see the landslide results.
  17. Wow, that does look OEM...but I'm guess arm rests would be a no no? Basically, if I get a set of gray door panels with the vinyl padding as opposed to fabric, I'd like the vinyl to be black...which is about half of the door panel, and the lower section stay gray.
  18. Better faux aluminum/silver plastic than black plastic or plood, IMO.
  19. I like cheese. No seriously, cheese is the $h!. Provolone FTW!
  20. Could be, I just don't know off the top of my head. Silver you say? Although I dunno if that's plastic or metal.
