You know, I think there's huge market potential for an El Camino if the Coloado/Canyon twins don't get redesigned/replaced. Businesses that use them now probably wouldn't want or need fullsize trucks. A properly priced El Camino V6 would make an ideal delivery/light duty commercial vehicle.

Unsold 1987 Buick GNX becomes dealer time capsule. In the mid-1980′s the performance car market in the United States was still in a pretty dismal state of tune. There were a few rays of light like the Ford Mustang GT and Pontiac Trans Am, but the only real shining star was Buick’s one year only 1987 GNX. Sure it was expensive, but it had the numbers to back up the price. Back then anything with horsepower numbers over 200 was a big deal, so when the GNX came out with its underrated 276 bhp and 360 lb-ft. of torque, enthusiasts couldn’t help but take notice. There was however one inherent problem… the car cost $30,000, around $10,000 more than a standard Buick Grand National. Collectors knew the car was something special and because of this most were sold immediately. There was however one GNX that was delivered to Boulevard Buick in Long Beach, California that was never snapped up. In fact it still sits on the showroom floor with a total of just 164 miles on the clock. Back then the dealer thought they’d make some big money by tacking on an additional 5k to the price, but nobody wanted to bite, so instead of giving the car away for sticker, they just kept it. Right now Brad Willingham, son of Jim Willingham, the dealers original owner, said “We had visions of making big money,” he said. “Now it’s part of our heritage.” My opinion… this is a car dealer, and like any car dealer anything is for sale for the right price. I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Holden Efijy yet. Then again, it's not really production feasible, not on a large scale anyway. A limited run could be done if GM had a coach builder like Pininfarina do the work. It would be expensive, but IMO it would be worth it. Chrysler 200C This is the car that could help turn Chrysler around, bring it upmarket, and make it more than just a reskinned/rebadged Dodge brand. A very handsome, RWD midsize premium sedan. Being based on a shortened version of the LX platform, it wasn't some pie-in-the-sky dream machine, it's very production feasible. Chrysler FirePower The FirePower would have made for an excellent GT halo car for the Chrysler brand. It would also have made good on the extra capacity at the Viper plant, and let Chrysler get more mileage out of the Viper's expensive platform. At the same time, the unique sheetmetal, 6.1L V8, and beautiful interior would have made it nothing like the hardcore snake. Chrysler Chrysler ME-412 Not only should this have been built, but this Mid-engine, SLR slaying supercar almost was. There were even prepoduction prototypes, but Daimler pulled the plug on it, because they didn't want the Americans showing up the much more costly German flagship. Americans are inferior after all. A mid-engine supercar from Detroit. How cool would that have been? Infiniti Essence One of the most beautiful and flowing designs to come from anywhere, let alone Japan. Nissan actually has a RWD platform or two they could build it off of, and would make a much better flagship than what they have now, which is nothing. Ford Interceptor Need I say more? It could be production feasible if Ford redesigned the next Mustang platform to be more flexible. Then again, Ford could build it off a RWD Lincoln platform to help spread cost while pushing Lincoln upmarket.

I would recommend the 2005-2007 Grand Caravan or Town and Country. Stow `n Go is the best feature put into a minivan since the second sliding door. Oh, and they aren't not a tin can either. 2005+ had reinforced roof and side structures as well. I would not put my children, the most important, precious things in my life, in a vehicle that deforms as much as the U-Bodies do. We had a 2007 Town and Country rental after our `91 was totaled for a few weeks. terrific van. my mom loved it, I loved Stow `n Go, and the large drainable cubbies the front seats store into, which can be used as coolers and storage. they also drive well for minivans, and they have decent interiors. Just can't beat them for practicality. If you want a bulletproof, if slow engine, 3.3L all the way. I would stay far away from Quests and Villagers, terrible vans. Rust prone and very bad engines, poor quality overall. WindStars aren't much better. Odysseys seem pretty good, as do Siennas.

It really irks me how people seem to be referring tot o Wood as "fat" or "fatty". First of all, that's not fat. If you want to get retinal damage, I'll post some fat. Second, who gives a $h! that he isn't a twig, therefore feel the need to call him fat every time you refer to him? I like him, he's very down to earth and a genuine car guy.

If you want that, go watch MotorWeek or Fifth Gear. Top Gear hasn't been about objectivity since 2002.

I thought the 4th episode was very good. The Raptor segment was excellent and IMO better than the original TGUK challenge. The SLS review was pretty good. The only weak part was the paintball segment. The show really needs to be 90 minutes longs o it can be a full hour. As for the hosts, give them time. TGUK was pretty lousy its first few seasons. It's miles better than TGAU.

So would you like me to post a white Toyota Camry or a green Honda Accord? That meets the criteria of not having a white Accord.

Common sense!

If you haven't had any major issues, then nothing. You've had a hard enough time finding something that wasn't an unreliable pile for a daily driver. Just stick with it. Also, if you're going to school or whatever, I really don't think it's a good idea to burned yourself with car payments.

It kinda big, but how about Dodge Magnum SXT or R/T AWD? It's a wagon, it has great road manners, it looks cool, it's not that common, prices for them are reasonable (some great deals out there).

I will say the Colorado is at least peppy, still would never want to own one though. What about a late model Cherokee? Manual 5.9 Dakota, or even a current gen Frontier? What would your hypothetical budget be?

That NetCarshow Corvette is nice, but I don't think it's a W-Body.

Having driven a Colorado more than my own car these past few months,, I would rank it as slightly above walking, but with more things broken. Maybe one with a v8 and newer than 2007 are better, but the 5 cylinder 2007s we have are utter piles. I'd rather spend the money on a bigger, nicer truck, which is a shame because I like the size of the Colorado. What about a Grand Cherokee?

Aurora, Alero, Grand Prix...basically any 3800 newer than `98. I would also suggest a Panther car. Easy to work on, cheap to fix, indestructible 4.6, reasonable fuel economy.

+3 on the Magnum. The Viper will at least be back in one form or another (but it won't be the same), the Magnum probably won't, which is a real shame. Also Satty, I agree, the Aventine was a really cool idea. Not pretty by any means, but funky and had a lot of neat tricks and ideas.
