  1. Deer are in my yard, either front or rear (or both) EVERY DAY. A month ago I walked around into the backyard and froze, and wacthed a fawn who was 100 feet away slowly wander up to only 8 feet from me. I've eaten some MIGHTY tasty fresh venison jerky... and that sums up my sentiment on this topic neatly.
  2. Be careful out there! https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2018/08/01/mans-legs-hands-amputated-after-dogs-lick/877895002/ - - - - -
  3. Ford testing lighting performance in light of new law allowing lower mounted headlights; 24" vs. 28". They found no performance issues with the lower lights, which they also tested WRT dirt accumulation.
  4. Except for '03-04, "Mach 1" hasn't been used since 1978, but didn't you call using that name on a future SUV a "dreadful idea"?
  5. The horrific misappropriation of the name 'Tri-Power'.
  6. COLOSSAL across the board losses; heads are going to roll for grotesque violation of the Prime Directive!
  7. Not buying the Harley company line straight up here. They planned on consolidating production as far back as 2015 and closing their Kansas City plant, due to slipping sales THEN. In 2017, H-D said they were in the 4th year of sliding sales. They also announced in 2017 they would be opening a plant in Thailand (to avoid Thailand's 60% import tariff/ da trade warzz!!!). They also opened a plant in 2011 in India. H-D wants to expand overseas markets and follow volume, it makes sense to manufacture abroad, period. "100% because of the tariffs" doesn't hold much water. BTW- a H-D Road King started at $19K last year- dey ain't cheap already.
  8. Quarter mile : 9.2 @ 151 MPH
  9. Dumb, but sticks in my ear for some reason:
  10. Perhaps, tho that article I quoted was from 2 weeks ago.
  11. I would think significant increases in metals costs would be reflected in the recycled metals market, but that hasn't budged this year yet. - - - - - The bulk of what I've read has said economists say a downturn could happen late 2019 or in 2020, not in 2 months. ">>The first thing to know about the next recession is that it won’t be quite like the last one, which involved a huge housing bust and a terrifying financial crash. While some analysts think stocks are overvalued today, there are few signs now of the type of giant imbalances that toppled Lehman Brothers and other financial institutions in 2008. Safeguards put in place after the 2008 crash also put limits on excessive debt and other factors that can cause a crash.<<"
  12. Right: different models & intents for different buyers. Same thing everyone other than extremely limited exotics do. Same thing any brand with a 'performance division' does.
  13. So I'd lose 4" of wheelbase & gain 4" overall length [157"/153" ~ 237"/241"].
  14. Are you sure you're not looking at the "2019 Silverado LD", which is the continuation of the '18, NOT the all new '19 1500 ?? Otherwise, just link me to it, since I'm an idiot today.
  15. Nooooo... all I see on Page 65 is a short bed crew cab's dimensions. i KNOW there's other body styles; where's the full listing of specs; not out yet?
  16. It's a FWD, 4-cyl sedan on the CLA platform- it's going to replace it. So I guess that means the same non-existent back seat will remain. And so basically it's a name change, not a new car. I LOL'd when I read one review saying 'Of course, it has an all-new face' when it is so utterly similar to the CLA and all other MB fronts, I literally wasn't sure which car they showed was which.
  17. ^ Edit may be required- looks like too many 'A-Class' es : confusing.
  18. ^ That look a lot more upscale than the MB. Did daimler do ANYTHING regarding the horrific interior packaging on the a-class vs. the CLA??
  19. I did see bodystyle / powertrain chart at the time of release, couldn't find it again tho. Also read something that claimed there would be a 'classic' / NU GEN production overlap. I need to find out the 'nannys' on the new truck, also. Going to be tough for me to acclimate to something radically different/intrusive with this many miles in on an 'old school' truck.
