  1. Funny this topic comes up. . . I just order a Pioneer D1 today. A buddy of mine owns a shop so I paid his price of $800 . . he makes over $1000 per unit. The bonus is that since I already have a DVD in the rear seats Im getting them connected to eachother. It's DIN size so it replaces the factory radio for a nice clean look. I thought about that but at $48/month. . . I dont think it's worth it.
  2. Premimum is recommened on the 6.0L but filling 100 Litres I use regular, Gas companies must have really low amounts of 92+ right now with these gas prices.
  3. It's possible for it to be produce. . there's been sightings of 2 mules at the Windsor R&D, I think it might help ease any production quota for that platform. The firepower would go head to head with the next generation XRL-V.
  4. There's about 200 of those Daytona edition Chargers a block away from my house. . . Ground effects has the contract to do the final details (decals and front fascia) and Ive heard that DCX will do the same for the SRT8 Rumble Bee.
  5. I'll be there Thursday night and Saturday afternoon. . . should be a great time this year.
  6. It was a gus guzzler. . and recently had a few problems with the fuel evaporator system, I know first hand that the inline 6 was solid engine but this V6 has alot of potential.
  7. OK. . . This topic has officially gone too far.
  8. Im really surprized about the high back rear seats. . . I couldnt even imagine how hard it would be to see out that small rear window. Too bad to see no soft top but the "trick roof" is cool. Overall I think that this is a HUGE improvement and look forward to seeing this at NAIAS.
  9. Still no major changes. . It should be interesting to see when Detroit decides to expand or build a new cobo. Im sure the Big 3 will get first picks.
  10. It's seems like a nice little town. . . I stoped in for some gas on my way to New York. One question, what's the main source of income? I can't imagine there be much work out there.
  11. As a past Jeep owner (2k2 TJ) I think the changes are what needed to be done to complete the Jeep. . .other then the whole power windows option  , The TJ was a great improvement oer the YJ and it looks like this Jeep will do the same. Cant wait to take one for a test drive! Hopefully they improved the soft top's wind noise and folding design.
  12. It could be my driving. . . I think I had about 3 cars in total pass me in the 2000Km trip and not one ticket  My dads Impala was great on gas so I only stoped once. The trip only involved 2 highways I75 to I80.
  13. I'll have my eyes glued to the TV on Jan 16th. . . Cant wait to see how much a 53' Vette #003 goes for. This is such a great time to be a gear head. . . NAIAS and Barrett Jackson B)
  14. My girlfriend came up with a crazy idea to drive 9 hours to Times Square, Let me tell ya it was one crazy party. We left on friday at noon made it in Newark had to stop once. We got in NY at around 2pm on new years eve to walk around and enjoy the city and to take a close up front look at the 2007 Tahoe. . . what a nice SUV with an amazing interior. Times Square was getting busy at around 4pm so we found a spot and stayed there. I heard there was a zero tolerance for booze. . so I mixed a few bottles of coke with some Canadian Club 150 Proof, did that ever make the night go by reallly quick. Overall it was a great time. . . but I dont think I would ever do it again, like everyone says, it's a once in a life time thing.

    Time Square

Well, I made it back. . . it was one crazy party! I must say it is a once in a lifetime thing to do, seeing Dick Clark walking around was cool. The crowd wasnt that bad but standing for 7 hours. . . well let me just say Im glad I workout and keep active so it wasnt to bad for me but my girlfriend wasnt to crazy about it. I had an up close view of the Tahoe. . . What nice SUV, The interior is amazing. There was a Chevrolet Revolution display with a covered car/compact SUV not the HHR but im not sure what it was, im sure it's on the net by now. Overall Im glad I went to experiance this event.

    Time Square

I'll be staying at the Best Western at Newark Airport. . . the hotel has a 24 hr shuttle to theAmtrak rail station which takes us to Penn Station. The cost for the hotel is $160(not bad) and the train is $10 round trip. It's goin to be a 10 hour drive, Im not taking the Sierra because of it's brutal fuel mileage. . . it's still only has 2,500Kms. My GF's Sunfire will be easier on the wallet. Thanks for all your advice,

    Time Square

Well it looks like I'll be watching the ball drop in time square this year. . My girlfriend decided to make a last minute plan to go to New York. I really havent ever thought about going but now that i'll be there. . . im pumped to go. Has anyone ever been there for new years? What should I expect? I heard to be there at around 3pm or so to get a good spot.
  18. Having a power engineering background. . . I see steam powering massive turbines, I dont see why not power cars by steam. . . other then the issues of startup times.
  19. Sweet. . . Nice and sleek, I like the style of the door handle but im sure the best part will be inside. I think we'll see alot of "commander" type effects such as A/C vents and dash.

    2008 Viper??

This thing must be race-ready. . . cuz 700hp is more then you could ever use on the streets, 0-60 times would be insane! I know 700 Hp sound cool and all, but when is this race going to end? I this going to end like the motorcycle power wars when 204MPH was considered the limit.
  21. Now that's a hardcore GM enthusiasts! I would never even think about getting branded. . all my tats have a personal meaning. That's just stupid!
  22. Trust me. . you wont be disappointed. This truck is a as best as it ever been, that's one reason why im not waiting for the 07's. . . well see what happens in 4 years when the lease is up.
  23. Thanks guys. . . It was dealer installed but im not sure if it's GM Access. I was really surprized to see a folding hard cover. . . I thought forsure it was a fibreglass cover but im so glad it's a folding, now I dont have to worry about putting anything big in the back.
  24. Here are some pictures I took today. It's been 3 days since Ive had the truck and I find it tough being apart :P It's hard to believe the truck is 7000lbs. . . the 6.0 really has some great power. I have yet to really open it up but so far im really impressed. My favorite picture of them all! True GM pride! When I have some free time I will have a complete review on my thoughts of the truck. . . work is just too busy right now.
  25. Well, I picked it up yesterday and the salesman seemed more pumped to hand me over this beast. He said it was the first one the dealership recieved so everyone was asking about the truck. Ive already used up about a 1/4 of a tank and have yet to really open it up to see how much power it has. . . but let me tell ya. . . the 5.3 I test drove has nothing on the 6.0. Im stilling in the process of finding new options that I never knew this truck had, like "curb view" option and such. It snowed about 2 inches last night so im going to put the AutoTrac thru it's paces to see how well it conects. So I should have some pics by tomorrow, I have a nice backdrop in mind. . . the GM Headquarters!
