okay I know you neeed to make money in life, but at 83 or however the man is, and gambling with 1.5 billion dollars, how long term can he possibly go? and why? couldnt you just happily live off of 1.5 billon no to mention the rest of the money he has, or is it strickly for capital gains taxes?

I think this is good news for GM, I'm not sure, but I think this is better then expectations... I will agree with the HHR and the Impala thing, cause they are selling like hot cakes... already sold an SS and we just got some new ones on the lot... hopefully sales will continue to rise... and the used car sales.... great news for GM owners because that just means resale value will do better...

heh let me tell you some people cant afford those things... people love them... but yea hopefully more fuel ecconomy will come... and they will remain popular

lack of inventory... Here in Los Angeles, GM cant get us some vehicles fast enough... for example, no cobalts(although 1 ss), 2500 trucks go like the wind, crew cabs are going quicker then GM can send them... with 47 extended silverados and 15 tahoes, 1 colorodo, and 1 equinox for 05 inventory, is kinda like the sale doesnt do anything for us... with the 06 extention on the larger vehicles, it will help get some of the bloated truck inventory down as the new 06 models dwindle in... Impala is getting some looks, HHR's cant keep em in the store... thats about it for new/changed models... i think my manager said last year for August we did something like 390 cars in the month, this year were at about 250 (8/29) for the month so far... so i think we are more the 5% in the negative over last year...

my boss told me by march we will have some 07s... so... sounds like it isnt just rumors... he said tahoes avalanchs and suburbans, but i was under the impression that those vehicles would be spread out I was under the impression avalanch, and escalades will debut first quarter, tahoes and suburbans and similar bodys will debue second quarter and everything else third quarter

i saw one of those in my area a month or two ago, OMG the thing looks brilliant, a major head turner... I was like is that a 300, no it isnt, is that superman? i looked on the internet for 30 minutes trying to figure out what it was... found it... but yea it looks a lot better in person.

yea we are completely sold out of some cars and our selection is all out of wack... no wonder GM is doing so horribly this month

well I'll tell you, I dont know what the rest of the country has but I know we have the majority of the 05's of everything left in the western USA, and we probably have about 50 extended Silverados and maybe 10 Tahoes, 1 equinox, and a couple of impalas, maybe some other stuff... but its been extended till end of September on all 06' silverados including a nascar 500$ bonus on top of the 2000$ rebate and GMS, and GMS will also be offered on Avalanch, Suburban, and Tahoe... this will allow us to have a great labor day weekend, because I cant tell you how many customers were mislead or pissed off about it being only 05's and that there were no 05 crewcabs anywhere.

GM ought to have purchased Hyundai a long time ago... Hyundai one of the strongest growing companys in the auto industry I think... 6th largest auto maker? thats behind GM, Toyota, Ford, DCX, Nissan? Hyundai is stupid if they dont give their employees an increase... think about it, Cause if you went on strike, and decided hey I'm worth more then what I'm getting paid, and your employer said "Naa, shut up" how the hell would you feel, You most certainly would be very productive.... Your gonna work like, my company doesnt care about me so why should I care about my company, why should I build any kind of quality into these cars?

well 134 percent is a lot, but how much have all the other dealerships increased? marketing has something to do with it, and not necesarily more product knowledge

The only 06 models we have on our lot In SoCal, is Impala SS, Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, Equinox, Trailblazer, uplander, HHR, Avalanche, Colorodo, Express vans, but we have NO COBALTS, we have 2 aveos, we have 2 05 imaplas, 3 malibu maxx's and 1 Impala SS 06, that is all the cars we have... the dealer on the top 10 for Chevrolet volume in the country has 9 cars on the lot... Is there any wonder that we are going to have a slump of a sales month? When in the western USA, we have half of the silverado 05's left... but we only have 9 cars :o our warehouse is completely empty, and our roof is half empty... Chevrolet is going to have a really bad month... I can see through the sales of the month, and although I'm new to the dealer... No one is happy about the way the sales are going so far this month...

well at the dealership we have 2 SS models, and I can tell you, that car is a dream... not a single complaint other then FWD... and one guy said leg room in rear was insufficent, but it handles well, it accelorates fantastically and with ease... one thing i dont necesarrily like, if your battery is dead on the car you cant open the trunk... (the show room model the battery died, and cant quite show off that roomy trunk)

well if we had any vehicles here at the dealership then we could sell some cars... but honnestly of an inventory of nearly 400 vehicles, we have 8 cars :( comon GM, deliver so we can deliver...

my 1998, was rated at 194, but my brothers 108 hp corolla was just as fast... and yes, to a bit above, the XLR-V is not a northstar (as I am aware) yet a LS6 Superchared?
