i read from camaroz28 it was going to be a inline6 4.2... but who knows
-
does GM know this, or should I raise hell to my bosses?
-
mission accomplished in July... next: fill em back up cause who wants to buy a car that isnt right for them? i.e. wrong color, wrong engine... without the inventory we cant get people exactly what they want
-
you wanna talk about loser law suits, I found a Skrew (a wood skrew) in my El Pollo Loco Burrido... I didnt wanna be the next front cover guy who found a finger in his chili... but who the heck is this guy anyway?

This question is the same as the question about social security... People are living longer, those numbers must be expanded... if someone is 58, they shouldnt be able to retire and live until 100 on GM's tab... same with Social securities... GM must make note of this, and so should Bush... I dont intend on retiring when I'm that age, probably not until 65, but even then it will be on my own merit and my own investments... not the investments you havent made into a company that isnt being successful in a global market... by that I mean many people who are retiring now, are some of the people who worked for GM's problem years, I'm not saying that the guy who is going to respond to this and say Hey I'm looking to retire soon and I've been working at GM for 25 years and I've done my best. I thank you, but you arent the problem the Union is. The union has not always inforced quality, and has not always cared... this is evident in todays marketshare decline... GM's problems are American Problems, Ford's Problems are American Problems, Chryslers problems were American problems, now its DCX's problems, but again the origin is America... Legislature MUST BE CHANGED, I'm not presuming a solution, but obviously if the American company, and the American way is failing, something must be changed, thats what legislation is for, to change with society and to adapt to a changing world and ecconomy. Social Security and Union Benifits are exactly the same pricipal, and when people say Social Security will be bankrupt before 2018, what will happen to all UAW workers? The benifits out weigh their worth, they cannot afford to give the employees those benifits. Americans are not willing to afford those benifits to those people. And thus GM cant afford to lose any market share, and those employees wont have jobs soon if they dont give up something.

i was pretty sure there was a recall on one GM car for having a bad fuel gauge, I think it was accually the cobalt, get it checked up man... show the dealership
-
I think its 199/year (or better rates for multiple years or multiple cars) for basic service which includes lockout, emergancy help, phone usage, talk to an operator and I think its 349 for full service which includes directions and one other thing but i forgot what that was so that is 16.99 basically and 29.10 a month but dont quote me
-
more efficent motors? who says v8's cant be efficent? look at the ls2... that car has seen higher gas mileage then the aveo... on the c6 it says for highway, accual results up to 66 mpg... the aveo accuall results up to 46 I think
-
well in comparison, its cheaper then Cable TV, its cheaper then Cell Phones, its Cheaper then broad Band internet connections, its cheaper then a lot of things people are willing to pay for, but like most have said, and GM has realized people are not willing to pay for saftey... 16.99 a month may seem like a lot, but people spend much more then that on other things...
-
a lot of people like HUD, i just sold a C6 yesterday and the guy said yea that it was annoying and wondered if he could turn it off, I showed him how, but asked me to leave it on for him to adjust it.... so maybe he did like it. but as far as the CIVIC? thats a CIVIC? it has no styling, it looks like another pregneant roller skate like the prius... and Navigation in a Civic? comon thats a bit expensive isnt it?
-
This is great news!... although the Current onstar system probably doesnt have access to any more sensors, otherwise they would probably include them But yea this makes OnStar a bit more useful...
-
saturn has a good reputation, it doesnt need to switch to being opel, something many americans have probably never heard of
-
I mean havent you had a time when you could really borrow a truck? or like you are trying to put your brand new TV or Monitor in your car through the door but it just doesnt fit... or something stupid... If you had something that was capable and was small so it could get decent gas mileage I think it would be a good idea... perhaps it wont sell 10k a month, but if its on the same platform its already being mass produced...
-
to say exactly what they said, that was a very well phrased sentance, and its fighting words that Toyota provoked and cannot answer, without getting into a one on one battle that publicly Toyota has already lost.
-
I'd like to see that quote on more headlines... accross the country that would be awesome, cause those are fighting words and quite frankly GM will win as seen by the party they crashed
-
LMFAO sure it wasn't... Just to get a bit of attention... Like this artical :) :Toyota: :booyah:
-
but that is trying to apear as a fullsize truck... I mean I've seen lawn mowers coming out of the back of a camry before... people dont always need a truck for the power, maybe just a little bit of large items that may not weigh very much... an HHR truck wouldnt be anywhere near the compeition of a ridgeline, totally different market, besides some people like to drive trucks but maybe dont want the gas efficency of them
-
maybe a truck of that size would be more practical, and its rated to tow 1000 lbs... so maybe thats not a lot, but maybe thats all someone needs instead of a full size pickup or a colorodo... why not have a car based truck? that really isnt a truck at all just a more useful car? cause some people haul around some big stuff... I was just saying its an idea that popped into my mind... can we get a photo chop that be pretty cool...
-
people judge first on appearance, then by quality (atleast most) if something is "God Aweful" like my father puts is, then it probably wont get a majority rule, if something is OMG gotta have this car it might... some people buy cars that dont even run due to styling (classics or old cars)
-
people will likely pick an H3 over a Jeep... because of Hummers expectations, Hummer isnt the Underdog for working hard. The price point of a HHR is a wonderful start. The Price point of the Solstice is right on The Price point of the z06 is probably too low, but whatever thats good :) The price of the GTO... BAD Sure the GTO might sell, but its too expensive for what you are getting, there isnt a legacy that someone ought to pay into the GTO... (atleast not a realistic tie between the new and old) The Colordo I think is over priced, the Silverado probably a bit overpriced, Aveo Cobalt are probably the right price maybe a bit lower, but nothing outstanding like the HHR or Solstice
-
also it may demonstrate that GM is more apt to fix a problem as a whole then Toyota is... meaning if there is a problem GM already has a bad rep so why not welcome everyone to getting it fixed, where as toyota may avoid the recall and warantee 3million motors...
-
yea 3 million tailgates cables arent nearly as important as the steering yoke on some thousand avalons...
-
what about a smaller truck then the Colorodo? pull a Delta truck? take the HHR and flip it into a mini truck, think there is a market for such a thing? or are we trying to get away from nitch markets?
-
okay, who did Wagoner have to tell that to? about the Hummer comment? Lutz? if it was Lutz that means Lutz is trying to get things to accually mean something... all stipulation, but if that comment was direct to lutz, then Lutz is on the side of the consumer, and Wagoner (obviously) is on head honcho corperate's side... we want lutz to build cars that are supposed to do what they say... we Dont need people like a friend of mine, who are part of a jeep car clup with the name of "Hummer Recovery Team"... Jeep is not better, Hummer is, and always will be until They have to meet a target price
