I would have thought that Pontiac's popularity in Canada would mean something for the survival of the brand. One of the few interesting vehicles at the L.A. autoshow: There should be some pent-up demand for the ST, but it would very much be a niche vehicle. It couldn't cost much for GM to bring it here, but it won't do anything for the bottom line either. I do hope they bring it here. If it turns out to be a dud, I'd consider buying one at a firesale price.

Both are G-body. The Seville is just slightly smaller than a Deville. For me, I would never, ever buy a car with a Northstar because of the cost of repairs (I briefly owned an Aurora 4.0). I'd take anything with a 3800 over one.

I saw this thing at the L.A. autoshow, and it does not look better in the flesh. I think the original RX was the most successful design in terms of functionality. The second generation drove nicely. I could understand why they are so popular, though my neighbor had one with transmission troubles. The new RX has a little too much Camry in the exterior design. I find the ES350 sedan unattractive inside and out, and yet it sells very well. No doubt the new RX will sell well too.

The outgoing design is one of my favorites. As for this thing, it could be worse, but it has some unfortunate detailing that will not age well.
