  1. Israel didn't bomb a nuclear power plant, they don't know what they bombed. There was no radiation detected at the bomb site so its unlikely it was a nuclear plant, probably a farm or something that they just wanted to bomb to show that they could do anything they want without repercussions. Since Iran is part of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty they have every right to build a nuclear plant and the US doesn't have a single right to try and stop it since they are also a signer. There's four countries that are not part of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty: India, Pakistan, North Korea, and Israel. We should be looking at bombing Israel's nuclear factory at Dimona more than any place since are not a signer and do produce they nukes there. They are also an occupying force in the region just as we are. In regards to the gas tax increase, the government as always wants us to make due with less while keeping their income constant. We are getting punished because we are cutting back on our miles driven due to the high cost of gas. Increasing the price with a 10 cent per gallon hike will make people drive even less which would again lead to less money going to the government from the gas tax. Maybe they should take the money they collect from the federal income tax and instead of giving it all to the Federal Reserve to pay off the interest we owe them they could take half and put it toward something like our infrastructure.
  2. Yeah I've never actually tasted Revolution Mt Dew but it sounds the best tasting out of the three flavors that are being voted on to be the new flavor, the other two being Voltage and Supernova.
  3. Give me some Surge, Vanilla Coke, Pitch Black Mt Dew, Game Fuel Mt Dew, or Revolution Mt Dew and I'll be set.
  4. I have a 37" Olevia that I bought 2 Black Fridays ago for 700$ and it blows away my mom's 32" Aquos that she got for $1000 a year ago.
  5. I've been there, tore my labrum, bicep, rotator cuff, and took half the head of my humerus off in my left shoulder after three dislocations and got surgery to fix that when I was 16. Unfortunately on the third dislocation, the hospital felt it was necessary to relocate my right shoulder, even though my left shoulder was dislocated. Long story short, my right shoulder had a torn labrum and an stretched rotator cuff and I got surgery on that when I was 20. Yeah no drugs or cortisone shots worked to bring the pain down to a reasonable level so the surgeries were the only option. Only thing that sucks since then is when the weather gets damp and cool the shoulders get bothersome and the bursitis/arthritis is a pain every so often.
  6. Voting for Obama since Israel hates the idea of him as President.
  7. I don't think there can be any legitimate pre-orders yet. Also if anybody expected it to be a Summer 08 release would have to have extremely high expectation. The Challenger and Camaro came out at the same 06 NAIAS and it took Chrysler until Summer 08 to come out with the it when they already had most of the parts already in production. Ever since it was approved in August of 06, the Camaro has been a first quarter of 09 release. To me, a two and a half year gap between approval and release using a yet created platform is pretty darn good.
  8. Well if Hillary gets elected then we'll have something close to a monarchy. If all goes to plan then after she gets elected for another term Jeb Bush will follow with two terms at which time Chelsea will be old enough to run for the 2024 elections. And by that time we'll all be .
  9. Thank you for recognizing the true home of the Super Bowl champions .
  10. I wonder where they are going to get that money from.
  11. You could also check out this 1080p 47" Olevia at Circuit City for $1099.
  12. True, come to think of it I don't think I've ever seen the back of an XLR before now.
  13. Is that a CTS coupe next to the blue one?
  14. Funny how a barrel is at $83 dollars and gas around me is $2.40 but when a barrel was $66, gas was at $2.95.
  15. Newark, NJ = New-irk, not New-ark New York City = The Sit-ee, thats the NJ pronounciation anyway
  16. Exactly, they're burning the domestics at both ends by forcing them to strive for higher standards in terms of fuel economy and then to add weight with useless safety like this. I mean really its only saving 560 people from death or serious injury a year, thats 12.5 times less people than those that are killed by medication errors in hospitals per year. Its almost as bad as the parents in NJ who are trying to pass legislation to ban metal bats in little league because 13 kids have been killed since 1991 in NJ by balls that were hit off of metal bats. Both are just wastes of our tax dollars.
  17. I'm a fan of their Studebaker conversion kt for an S-10:
  18. Compared to the 31 mpg of the current Impala a 40 mpg version would save just only 3/4 of a gallon per 100 miles which is only 750 gallons over the course of 100,000 miles. If a Tahoe is currently getting 16 combined mpg under the new 08 standards and the hybrid Tahoe is supposed to get 22 combined mpg under new standards, you save that same 750 gallons over the course of 44,200 miles. To me that makes hybrids more important in terms of weening us off of foreign oil and a consumer could recoup their cost of buying a hybrid quicker then they could recoup the cost of going from a 31 mpg Impala to a 40 mpg Impala.
  19. I had to be an outcast of my Yankee family and became a Met fan at an early age so definitely the Mets. It's too bad that I couldn't find a smiley with a broom so I'll just use this:deadhorse:. I'm sure you can figure out who is who.
  20. It was up to 84 here yesterday and its now 44. We also have a winter storm warning here and we're expected to get 5-10 inches of snow.
  21. Global dimming basically is that the Earth's surface isn't getting the electromagnetic irradiance that it once did. I haven't watched the documentary but from reading the summary it says that pollution in clouds causes a mirror effect and reflects this electromagnetic radiation back into space. This would make sense if it wasn't for the fact that less clouds are forming because of a lack in cosmic radiation. This is due to the Sun being the most active its been in 1000 years which causes its magnetic field to extended beyond Earth, reflecting these cosmic rays. Basically the Sun being more active then its used to and less clouds to reflect the sunlight back into space, is why the Earth is warming up. A few inconvenient truths to point out: in the 12th-13th centuries, the Earth was about 5 to 10 degrees warmer then it is now another thing and these same scientists and politicians that are talking about global warming and pushing it, were the same ones talking about global cooling 30 years ago.

    SAE

I'm a student member of SAE, I haven't attended any seminar though, they're too rich for my blood. I got the Automotive Handbook from them, which is an excellent book for any auto enthusiast.
