  1. Solstice is the best looking Pontiac ever. But of this century? You have to be kidding yourself. It's original, but it just doesn't work. The SKY is hands down much better looking to most people. It's all preference, but the SKY is more conservative, and somewhat derivative, so that is why it fairs better at market.

    NEW FIT

I think it's cute. Look at the competish. The Aveo looks like a shocked, metal POS.
  3. Why does every thread lately turn into "Get the pitchfork! Kill (insert brand here)! GM is dumb!"? Sure there's lack of product @ GM's brands, but It's not like Buick's been better off lately. I'd rather Buick have a small number independent or near independent (shared with another brand or two) models as opposed to a mess of SUV rebadges and a retarted minivan. I don't think Buick is going anywhere fast.
  4. Another element to the SKY's success over the Solstice is the element of suprise. No one woulda expected the SKY from Saturn, the "crappy plastic brand". Pontiac is supposed to be the racer brand. They were EXPECTED to have a Kappa-like car. The SKY is just a different type of car for the "different type of car" company. That may have something to do with its sales and having more of a draw towards Saturn as a brand, ya know, being the halo and all. Also compared to, say, the Z4, Porsche Boxster, SKY, or Miata the Solstice looks like a bulbous onion-shaped flame surfaced wannabe POS, in my opinion of course. And the SKY looks like a mini-'vette
  5. No one mentioned GM's sluggish and stupid third truck brand, Hummer. That should go long before GMC... If you want to drive a Humvee, go to Iraq and help the country instead of driving them here and keeping America in trouble. GMCs are on constuction sites helping build America and oil sucking Hummers are a part of the reason the nation is falling apart. GAH!
  6. Don't bet your retirement moneys on that. Chrysler still pushes more minivans than you can shake a stick at. And moltar, I love the name Atlantica. guess after that, they can have an... Indiana? And fwiw, the name Journey reminds me of a LandRover... Like the Discovery, and Freelander.
  7. Doesn't do it for me. Looks like how the minivans would look if they hadn't gone all boxy. But those headlights look ready for an Outlander.
  8. They should've put more retro cues in there. They don't need it fully retro, but the front reminds vaguely of a FIAT 500, and they shouldve went with more retro looks in the tail.
  9. This thing is NICE! But all of these Oz-mobiles look the same to me. Really, it looks the same as the old one to me. I wish they would change it up a bit more. I'm tired of seeing Holdens, Buicks, Pontiacs, Foreign Chevys, utes, coupes, and different sized sedans ALL look alike.
  10. The rear on the sedan just doesn't fit. The tail lights are too low. Hopefully they'll fix it like the last generation. The front 3/4 of the coupe is downright vicious. Also, why is the rear deck so long? It looks ridiculous. But the rest is pretty hot. I want an Accord now. This'll give the Acura a REALLY hard time...
  11. Why not just make this car instead of selling the boring one and this sexier, yet somewhat ugly one side-by-side?
  12. I don't get the point of this... It just looks like a smoother minivan. How big is this? This makes me sad, because I always associate Dodge as being a brand with 'personality', but this has none... at all.
  13. That show is FUNny! It was one dude who had a boot fetish... Not a foot fetish, which I can understand. But boots? That's dumb! He was going to take the lil girl to buy her some boots. Also, did anyone notice all the 'girls' look like they're 30 and pretend to be 13? That should be the predators' clue to run.
  14. Question... And Holden fans don't get angry. What is the fascination? Do the sunrays in the Southern Hemisphere make you get wet over big, RWD car based pickups? I really don't understand.
  15. I swear they already had pictures of this... or was it the sequoia? or the lexus? or the highlander? or the tundra? Toyotas all look the same. i wouldn't have a problem with this, but the Lexus, Land Cruiser, Sequoia and Highlander are all a big messy blur to me. Sad for them.
  16. Oh... that brown makes me long for the NG Lacrosse/Regal... They could just rebadge and I'd be happy. The hybrid looks like an Aura to me, in that silver. And the grey interior can't escape the feeling of cheap. But this is the first GM family sedan design in years that I think is gorgeous. This beats out Aura all the way. GM just keeps topping itself. G6 is better than old-Malibu. Aura is better than G6. New-Malibu is better than Aura. I suppose Buick is next...
  17. Hood is too long. Look at the X3 in the pic 91z4me posted compared to this EX35. At least X3 has an emphasis on, as Kia would say, "cabinocity". The long hood makes this look ridiculous. But Infiniti is quickly becoming the real Asian BMW.
  18. This looks OK, but I'll have to try it out. I'm not sure there is a big market for this. The kind of people who want an HHR, in my mind at least, don't want a sports car. I'd wait for the NG Cobalt... smaller, lighter, and potentially more efficient. But, I guess we'll see... How long before Scion gets an SS-type configuration? *shudders at the thought*
  19. I lived in So.Cal for 5 years. And I loved it. Beaches, mountains, deserts, rich people, poor people, STARS!, golf, offroading, nightlife and more ritzy cars than you can shake a stick at. Where else can you see an 88 tercel, a Porsche, and a 57 lowrider go down the same street, back to back and nobody cares? So.Cal. has the ultimate mix of everything. What's up north? Trees, SF, wine country and computer chips? Yeah... thats fun.
  20. haha... I thought 7 was grey, then i thot it was green. it looks more green to me.
  21. 1-- Twilight Blue 2-- Pulsar Green 3-- Atomic Crimson 4--Blue Moon 5--Galactic Black 6--Slate Mist 7--Aurora Emerald I like ASTRA-nomical names for Saturn, like things in the SKY. And they all have mysterious AURAs.
  22. Headlights are NICE here. Very Torrent meets G6. I am not a fan of the Scion Xb-ness of the interior. It makes me sad. Those inside door handles were cool on Xb, but they look forced on a Poncho. An one concrete detail... a certain TV network wouldn't be happy with that proposed name. G4 is owned by Comcast and no way are they giving up rights... at least I don't think...
  23. Ah... good points. Let me attempt to disspell them. I don't think this is just a mule. This looks near pre-production. The Buick hips with the GMC/Saturn doors (look at the sculpting, it gives itself away) tell me that GM took time to blend them, which means they were thinking cosmetics over structure here. And if you CAN'T see what that car looks like under there, you need a better monitior. On Jalopnik, just make the pic 1280, and those lights are clear as day to make out.
