The SLS updates need to come over stateside, sooner the better.
  2. Would this be like a turbo-electric drive on ships?
  3. The Ultra V8 can't come fast enough, the sooner it comes the better Caddy's competitiveness grows.

    2007 China SLS

Just having the option alone is a huge benefit to have in this type of market, even if the take rate isn't high.
  5. The new architecture makes use of HF engine components to speed development and increase standardization.
  6. Min displacement: 4.7 L Min HP: 350-380 DI, VVT et al included Slightly smaller overall dimensions than N* That's all I've heard thus far.
  7. CR continues to nitpick inconsequential stuff to death to suit their POV, unfortunately.
  8. The Ultra V8 is more powerful in a smaller package than the N* and has DI, while the N* needs to be modified to have DI. The UltraV8 will be the full replacement of the N*, and a V-12 with DI will be available to deal with the German V12s.

    2007 China SLS

If the STS/SLS becomes the S-class competitor, it will need the options loadout of it as well, especially the V-12.

Wouldn't a S-class competitor from Cadillac be based on a Sigma II chassis, curiously?
  11. If the SLS goes against the 7-series, a V-12 option will be necessary at some point.
  12. The sooner the Ultra V8 comes, the better, and hopefully with DI to boot.
  13. Cadillac will keep getting better. Hit the competition where they are and aren't.
  14. That isn't the most objective of pieces, by any means though.
  15. Caddy's have the AWD option for the upcoming vehicles, so it is a good start.
  16. As long as something good comes out, it's cool.
  17. No news so far, but its a great idea I've been advocating for a while.
  18. DOHC is also need for High performance lux, otherwise it is no more than a hickmobile.

    Edmunds Reviews CTS

Going back into prototype racing for le mans would be a very good thing, especially now that Audi is racing diesels, which Caddy could do as well.

    Edmunds Reviews CTS

Shaving off at least 3 inches, from what I've heard.
  21. An S-class fighter has to be spot on out of the box, with a good V8/V12 combo to match. At the time of the CTS launch, a Caddy revival wasn't a sure thing yet, but now is the right time to get a XTS out.
  22. Toyota hasn't been making any cool cars as of late...
  23. The only way the pushrod V6s will go bye bye completely will be if GM decides to make the HF V6s their standard V6, otherwise it will just keep showing up again and again. At least the six speeds will be used for fuel economy and standardized production.
