Yes it is a Duramax 2.8L with 5 speed manual transmission. That would be a good combo. It gives me a M Klasse vibe looking aft the C pillar.

There is certainly some Modellista aerodynamic kit option going in the car, but the car looks better than the Genesis.

The last STS before it went RWD was on the Aurora platform. The last Bonneville was also on the Aurora platform, it even got Cadillac's Northstar. But the Aurora platform is probably the greatest platform of all time, in the world. Considering you own it and that you seek perfection, luxury, elusive refinement rags talk about but have no clue, it has to be the greatest car of all time.

Naah mini needs to make all vehicles on a RWD platform. Then only it will be considered real enthusiasts vehicle.

In 2011, the LaCrosse, Lucerne and DTS have combined for 74,000 sales, on pace for 98,600 for the full year. 438,000 cars to 98,000 cars in 11 years. Full size FWD luxury or near luxury is dying. Cadillac should be putting every dollar into rear wheel drive, a new V8, a new transmission, and fuel saving measures. Again, 7 cars in 2000 with no replacements, or updates in 2010, which includes killing of two brands. Only two cars are soldiering on. So 440,000 x2/7 ~ 125,000 cars add to that depressed auto sales as industry is down to 12M units compared to 15M in 2000, which brings the annual sales to 100,000. I think demand for those cars are on track for the supply. It is too simplistic, I know, but again your theory does not disprove this phenomenon that the supply is diminishing or dead. You may very well be taking cause for the result.
