  1. Well if people cannot do a simple math that $90 synthetic oil change every 15,000 mile interval is actual cheaper than doing regular oil change at $20 at every 3,000 mile interval then something is wrong with them. Moreover the added benefit of synthetic oil being actually good to your engine by keeping the temperatures lower and thus increasing the engine life. It is like buying a $1M condo in Manhattan and then complaining about the cost of electric bill.
  2. Newer models after 2011.
  3. There is no such thing as non-synthetic Dexos 2 oil. Before you say "it's a coupon"..... it's a perma-coupon. That special has been running forever. I do not disagree, but right there on the main coupon body it says: Also if an Owner's manual does not say synthetic is "required" then the dealer may not honor the form if you ask your car to have synthetic oil.
  4. I'm pretty sure most Cadillac dealers charge $100+ for oil service. Synthetic oil ain't cheap. Luxury cars are inherently more expensive to maintain. Thankfully there are independent specialists that charge more reasonable rates. Nope. $29.95 for GM spec synthetic and they even rotate your tires for you. I beg to differ. It is 59.95 for synthetic with tire rotation. 29.95 is regular oil change.
  5. Cadillac needs some serious metal.
  6. HB MM
  7. Joe, some creativity for you there.
  8. The true "handling" and "balance" began in British cars. Germans just copied the theme.
  9. When innovation lacks in an industry unnecessary "developments" are offsprings of the desire to innovate.
  10. Giving me this: [#103118] We could not determine which topic you were attempting to moderate.
  11. What is the reason for your distaste on this car/company?
  12. I flew the pig once from NY to Paris. Legroom and comfort wise it is no better than a A320 with an added benefit that we really felt packed like sardines. The animal is a perfect example of size DOES matter without the brain.
  13. Lot of shifting for what driving conditions? What prevents a person to shift directly from 3rd to 7th once he gets on the interstate and sets the cruise on 70? Automatics do that - why cannot a human being? As a person who has had the same vehicle for track and daily driving - I in fact like the idea of 7 speeds stick. The car gets a dual character, use lower gears for tracks with a better spread for optimal torque usage and higher ones for slow highway cruising.
  14. Yes it is a 2 seater. Seating arrangement is like the 2-seater fighter aircraft. Olds and I both sat in that dinky two years ago in NAIAS.
  15. You should read comments on Insideline, people DO NOT like a manual transmission Corvette with 7 speeds, they say 6 speed is enough.
  16. How much fuel economy would you expect from a car like the Cruze or an E-46 3er weighing approx. 3,200 - 3,300 lbs harnessing this engine?
  17. I saw this one in person in Hong Kong today. What a Beut. Sad to see Fiat let go something like this.
  18. Once when waiting in court for fighting a ticket, the judge heard a case of a similar incident. The lady whose dog caused damage to another dog on leash was asked to fork a bill of $1,500 for vet expenses. Couple of things against you though - not calling police or animal control. Filing a legal report would go long way for grievance case like this. Good luck on the outcome - most of the time it is not the animal but the owner who is at fault directly or indirectly.
  19. You live once and you die once. When you push the comfort zone you succeed. Good luck and happy flying.
  20. I think you should pursue. After digesting those facts during the chat after a bout sweet teas that kept us awake, your hypothesis holds value.
  21. Thanks guys. I am drowned in a sea of Nanos, i10s, Polos, Swifts, Micras and Sparks. Can't wait to come back and see good old pushrod V8s.
  22. Good to know. Keep us posted with them pics.
  23. I have had chance to drive all three in same trim level, albeit not back to back. Dynamically I will say Coupe>Sedan>Wagon. Solid Feel wise Wagon>Coupe>Sedan - thought coupe felt more solid, partly because of its staggered tire configuration. Wagon definitely has heft but is very composed. Speed wise Sedan=Coupe>Wagon. I am another wagon lover and I will not be car pooling in it. But the space and package it offers is far better than a bloated SUV. Then again the only true SUV with an emphasis on U for me is a Suburban, the rest are all pretenders.
  24. I want one.
