I think I see where Camino is coming here from. As a skeptic of anything GM does, asking for a buy back after quick succession of concessions shows that GM does not have faith in Volt, despite of the so called proactive steps. Here the intentions may have been right, but the move may be wrong.

The way the news reads, I think Cruze will possibly get a parallel hybrid like Prius plug-in rather than a series E-REV like Volt.

I am sick and tired of every thread becoming a GM bashing, RWD praising, any brand other than GM humping pointless tirades. There is no constructive discussion left on the website anymore. At the start of the thread, there were some very valid points regarding the design changes and ideological inaccuracies of the car countered by valid reasons of sales numbers and easy money necessary to keep the brand alive. If GM cannot do anything right, and other manufacturers do, then this is not the forum for you, move on and join those forums. There is one thing to point mistakes and talk constructively and then there is other to just constantly keeping on bitching, moaning, and whining about anything GM does.

That is one of the most ignorant comments, up there with some of the others' comments who are known to make such. If such is the case then there is no reason to believe any numbers for any cars about lap times on the Ring. See the comparisons for the car; Car and Driver had it third - when it had better numbers than most - reason Interior. Road and Track had it first when despite lack a LSD it outperformed all. In Car and Driver's lightning lap it even decimated RWD Lexus IS-F, 135i, AWD Evo MR. I have driven one and other than its cheap interiors, the car will makes expensive cars run wimpy and naked when you push it in the corners. Too bad GM made the recipe evaporate.

I am glad that Spirit of Daytona is still racing. I had met Flis' in a flight from DTW back few years ago and they invited me to visit their garage at Rolex at Daytona. A nice experience it was.
