Buick Lucerne scores big
Yes, I don't see why foglamps aren't standard on the CXL as well. Not like they actually matter as equipment since the only time people use them is the wrong time, but still good to have to fill up space.

So, I saw my first '06 Sedona today...
That's good. I know the last one was a hog because of that bad engine and its high gross weight. I just can't stand the design of the Sedona or most Hyundai/Kia products, even inside. I don't understand the cheapo black plastic extending aimlessly into the upper dash and I also don't understand why they can't use anything besides the same fifteen-cent pea green LCD travel clock they've been using since 1988.

Ah I see. Well, the interior still needs work, IMO, and obviously the exterior. I can't find out how heavy this Kia is because I wonder if its any lighter than the hog of a Sedona the old one was. Oh, and while the Odyssey's lines work well on the Odyssey, this thing looks ghastly on the road. Seriously. It just looks odd.

Um...I don't know how you say that as the Sedona literally just came out...

Vauxhall Sales Rocket!
Your serious? Center stacks of most Euro cars blow with their multitudes of tiny, illegible buttons and goofy shapes.

Mercedes and Chrysler will share more;
I think the worst thing for Mercedes buyers is the fact they own and drive a Mercedes. At when a Chrysler falls apart on you, you know you spent less than $40,000. Again, I do laugh at the idea that Mercedes will be really 'brought down' by Chrysler. They've been cheapening themselves up pretty well lately without any help.

Buicks Bright Future
To say the Buick image is 'tarnished' is an inaccurate statement. Buick has never really had a truly lousy vehicle in either quality (Cavalier), execution (Catera), or image (Aztek). Just about the worst you can say about any given Buick is that its a good car, but boring and conservative, which is coincidently what you'd say about your average Lexus or Acura. No doubt in even the most critical driver's mind that the W- and G-bodies of the mid- to late-1990s were truly fine cars, but nothing that captured the heart or the eye with a few exceptions (Ultra, GS, Riviera). There's a big difference among bad, mediocre, good, and exceptional. In all honestly, no Buick lately has been worse than good. All that's needed is to take the very good vehicles Buick has and move it to the exceptional level, something I feel confident will happen. Call me an optimist, but I prefer to be called a Buick fan and one that will very likely have a Buick sitting in the driveway among our other two sedans in the coming years.

Patriotism Doesn't Sell Cars Today
This reminds me of a former neighbor of mine who bought his daughter a 2002 Accord EX coupe because he worked part-time in a Firestone tire garage and he "almost never saw any Hondas come on there." I bet he doesn't see too many Daihutsus either...

Meh. They could always pull an Amanti and combine five luxury marques in one mediocre car with chintzy bits.

JD Power Vehicle Dependability Scores
When Consumer Reports divested itself from facts to opinions like seat comfort, it lost credibility. And the difference between CR and, say, Automobile is when you read a copy of Automobile, you know you're reading one man's opinion, filled with his likes, dislikes, quirks, and biases. CR tries to pass themselves off as pure science and fact and when the facts lay themselves down in such contrast to what CR is saying...well...yeah...

There is a guideline that states some percentage like that (55% I believe), yet its still based on a European design, so forth. This is in spite of the fact that Sikorsky has been building and delivering Presidential helicopters since Eisenhower and its S-96 SuperEagle is a fantastic helicopter.

No. Not that its Japanese, but its ugly. I don't understand the appeal of these squat little compacts.

Yeah, that's a pretty sickening thought. Joke would be on whoever makes that decison anyway as the President of the US wouldn't be able to fly into the majority of airports and would have to use the executive transport squadron of 727s, 737s, and 767s.
