Hondas on crack...
You know what I mean. They're merely one more source to cull for general information, but not definitive. I've seen alot of LeSabres, Grand Marquis, DeVilles, and Avalons with 'UNINTENTIONAL ACCELERATION' problems. You really think there's a problem with the throttle linkage on all those - ahem - 'mature-owned' cars? The AM radio issue was funny to me because this is supposed to be an agency to report safety concerns to. Inop SCV is not a safety issue.

Some people prefer class and pure muscular lines over grotesque bulges, weird cutlines, and overexaggerated cues from 18-wheelers.

GM Versus the Media
Um, there have been members here that are no longer here that spouted their mindless anti-GM crap with no resolve. They were true embodiments of self gratification. They probably drove LaCrosses with trunks filled with tissues and hand moisturizer they were into self gratification so much. Turbo is not one of them. How about we focus more on the discussions than each other? From all sides.

This thread is but one example of the true strength of C&G - the members. That's what sets us apart for all other sites out there, GM, Ford, whatever and that's our community spirit. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all of you that have donated so far, those that intend to, and those that can't but want to. I guess this answers the question of "does anyone really enjoy the site?" with a loud, firm YES. We have lots of nice things coming soon for you guys as part of our ongoing 'thanks' for being a great community and, let's face it, all our friends. And thanks for sticking by us in the good times, the boring times, the crashes, and all that. You guys rock.

Honda Announces Pricing for Redesigned 2006 Accord
There are two kinds of hybrids - series and parallel. Series hybrids are essentially multiple independent sources of power. You see that on diesel/electric submarines and locomotives. Parallel hybrids are linked through one transmission or driveshaft. Of parallels, there are generally four - full (or strong), assist, mild, and plug-in. Plug-ins are the weakest as they...plug-in the recharge. Mild hybrids are those like the Silverado/Sierra which essentially have oversized starters that allow the engine to be turned off when coasting, braking, or at a stop as well as run accessories. Assist hybrids are found on Fords and Hondas and are where the gas engine is the primary powerplant and the electric motor adds torque and power when needed. These also cannot run on electric power alone. Full or Strong hybrids are like the Prius, forthcoming Tahoe, and GMC Graphyte concept and can run on the gas engine, electric motor, or both. So, he's not implying the Honda system is 'half' or 'weak;' that's just what its called.

No Sales Incentives For Lucerne
If someone offered just you, Caddycruiser, $8,000 cash back on a Lucerne, would you refuse for moral reasons of not supporting a finance program that corrupts GM? Of course not. While we all say we hate incentives, we know we personally love them. I see his point there. But in general, you guys are right; if the product is that good (and the Lucerne is), there's no need for widespread incentives.
